Greenbeenie,food IS included on a cruise ship. Typically sodas and alcohol are NOT included. You can also make reservations at specialty restaurants for an additional fee. You can, however eat something SOMEWHERE on board 24/7 for no additional cost (room service!). I highly recommend the purchase of "soda cards" for the kids. It's a vacation after all.
wow im suprised that ship is so up to date like the solstice class. We were just in freeport and noticed the millenium in for refurb and it said new solstice class features. Looking to take this in Sept for our honeymoon cruise in Europe. im glad you posted this, even though its older it looks great!
AccOrd, We had no issues with anything that appeared run down on this ship. Much of it had been refurbished prior to our cruise. This particular stateroom was AMAZING. Between the separate area for the kids and the large balcony, it was more pleasant in our stateroom than around the pool. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and I hope you have a fun-filled honeymoon!
Carnival is less expensive, and I must admit that I will be going on my first Carnival cruise this summer.The Celebrity is first class all the way. Carnival used to mean "college parties" over here on the west coast due to the 3 adn 4 night cruises to Mexico. I understand they are much more family friendly now, but Celebrity still has the high-end reputation. Personally, I think I have enjoyed Royal Caribbean and Holland America more (even though they are all owned by the same company!)
no1videogal, I am EXTREMELY prone to sea-sickness, and I had no problems on his ship. Unless you hit a hurricane (and I've been on a few cruises in August without issues), I wouldn't worry for even a minute. Have fun!

Is this ship rocky? Im sailing on her August 16th and I'm afraid because she is a much smaller ship than what I'm used to, sea sickness will be a problem.
Was the room location aft and directly below dining and other activities a problem for sleeping? Also, what about mechanical nose from the screws/rudder movements?
Although we were below the outdoor dining area, we NEVER head any noise with the occasional exception of live music being played, but only when we were outdoors on the balcony. Never once do we recall hearing noise from above or below while in the cabin (we occasionally heard playful squeals of the children in the cabin next to us, but it was never annoying. If you want the best view and an amazing balcony, this is a wonderful stateroom.

Dania, the food and service were top-notch... For a large boat it's some of the best available.
Sometimes you get what you pay for! If traveling with kids, and you just LOVE that endless horizon... It's the only way to go!

It was fabulous. In fact, we are going again this December, but not this room.

What is the category of this room. Me and dh are looking for a change from ncl....
