    I just subscribed to deal dash. Bidding on a camera . The only thing I notice that seems like a scam is how much you have to spend on bids just to win. Auctions take forever and you can end up spending 50-100 on bids and cone away empty handed . I saw 2000-7000 bids for a winners of the same camera Not a fan upfront here on my first try. Just throwing away money and got burned . I like Ebay style better and bids are free

    The math shows out of 100 bidders one bidder wins.
    Meaning, overtime the bidder pays more for an item through lost bids. The gambler's fallacy is hard at work here.

    The main issue with DealDash is that people gang up in groups and take over items. It’s very obvious they are communicating via some other format. 3 people will eventually take over an item. They will put so many bids into it to cover the item and then click “buy it now”. When you do this, you get all your bids back, plus the item. I have won some great things, but I think they just throw you a bone here and there to keep u coming back.

    I won one of these knives, they're good quality but not the retail price they claim to be. Kamikoto is not a real company from Japan, it's actually DealDash exclusive where they created a sharp website for the company to make it look legit but when you actually try finding the company in Japan you will have no luck. Also, the plastic bag the knife box comes in says Made in China.
    In reality the knife would retail around $50-$90 if it truly is Damascus steel as it claims to be.
    You will notice other 'dealdash' brands that have the same thing. Like 'Bolvaint' brand, Schultz, The barrel Shack etc....

    I’m trying it out and I have found that high end items are not going for $30 they are being bid up so high they are close to the price the site says they are worth. People will win crappy gift cards or items no one wants like a gravy spoon. I wouldn’t say it’s a scam but I have yet to find it worth my precious time. Only reason why I tried it is because I There’s a money back guarantee on your first bid pack. I’m sure I’ll be refunding cuz I doubt I’ll win anything I actually want.

    This game is rigged and it’s in favor of the VIPs who get tons of free bids from James and his cohorts. How does that help Dealdash you ask? The VIPs have won all this stuff many times over and are likely playing for fun and taking the bid exchange option instead of the products. If a player takes the bid exchange option, in most cases, Dealdash makes a lot more money. For instance, if Dealdash takes in 30,000 total bids on an auction and has to return 5,000 bids to the winner, they profited 25,000 bids and had to spend zero on shipping and lose zero on product cost. So long as the auction goes long enough, which is most of the time, they will take more total bids then they give back. But even in those cases where the auction ends quickly and they have a net loss on bids, they still don’t lose because giving bids away entails zero cost to Dealdash. If those bids are given to a VIP, they will very often be used in a subsequent auction where the same dynamic will repeat. The bottom line is that if you are a new player or a non VIP, you are buying most of your bids and likely going against players who spend far less because they are funneled free bids. The problem is that it’s very hard to prove. It’s my experience as a former VIP with James that allowed me to gain this information first hand. Dealdash funneled me hundreds of thousands of free bids, and that’s why I won over 50% of my auctions at your expense (or people just like you). You can find me as dgrand6470 on the Top 10 Winners List on Bidtracker. Just remember that if you are in an auction against a VIP, the deck is likely stacked against you.

      That was my question also---so, if you win, you need to factor in all the money you've lost on bids you made that you lost--in the end it's gambling as much as bidding---cause every time you bid, you are gambling that you'll win, and there will always be only one winner--and many losers. Whoever came up with this is pretty smart and I am sure--exceedingly rich ;-) It sounds like the only way to ensure you win is to get lucky---and have little competition--or just stay in there and outbid everyone else--and just hope no one else is doing the same thing! Cause you could lose a lot of money doing that, since you're paying on every single bid. I don't like it at all--I think I'll stick to eBay. But I do appreciate this video. But I'd like to know how much money you spent---altogether, using DealDash--on all your bids. That's the price you paid for those knives.

      @darthmal Před 6 lety +11

      Don;t be a DICK! You can't prove they use bots. All a scam. I used to work for the parent company 8 years ago. They have what is known as "shill" bidders or "BOTS". Which are bogus accounts that change name every day. They have UNLIMITED bids so they ALWAYS WIN! Each bid also costs you 0.60 cents and NOT 1 cent. Once in a rare time they let some poor sucker win at the expense of others. So that lady that claims she won a $1200 computer for $100 , give or take, is not true. $100 dollars is 10,000 pennies, but remember each PENNY bid cost you 0.60 cents. So the company made $6,000 from suckers making 0.60 bids. Do the math! My twelve year figured it out.

But it's definitely not a good way to try to win an auction. It certainly feels like a scam. Do you really think that you' re the one who's going to win? Do you really think that your last bid out of over 6,000 bids, and sometimes even more, is going to be the last one and you're going to win the auction? No, this may not legally be a scam, but it is a scam regardless.

      I, too, am pretty sure you're wrong. For instance, at 4:08 he thinks 100 X .12 = $1.20 when, of course, it's $12. If he were a spokesman, he'd know that in advance. || What I truly don't get is why anyone would sell a (as is mentioned in the commercial) $799 (or what I call 800 dollars) Schultz VividEdge 4K Smart 55" LED TV (2017 Edition) for $1.44. || If it sounds too good to be true it is (too good to be true). || I think they pretty much admit it's a scam at 5:30 where they suggest you use a BidBuddy. If you can do it, they can too. || That said, I think the idea is intriguing. If someone scrupulous were to buy items in bulk - like the guy who owns the Dollar Store chain - and then let people bid on the items (beginning at the cost paid for them), you could get some nice deals.

      @Geekazine If he's wrong, then why are you using a genius link that you literally have to pay for instead of using a regular link to the site? Wheras your own site uses a full link, rendering the "It's shorter" excuse invalid. I hate non-disclosure of advertising.

    So in essence, these websites operate based on very scummy principles. The cost of all the bids placed on an item by all bidders will easily bring dealdash more money than the item would retail for. And if you choose to "buy it now", then you're going to pay well over retail price anyway because their prices are ridiculous. Dealdash is not some "cool" website with "neat" features. It's a system designed to separate fools from their money. Not to mention, many of the bids being made on items are being done by fake accounts using an algorithm to ensure they pump as much money out of dumb consumers as possible. Their flimsy explanations that they have "relationships" directly with manufacturers is laughable.

Been on here for two months and won over $10,000 worth so far so stay away with your false fears and the rest of us will reap the rewards. Simple question. Great Review! I have seen a lot of reviews by people who have never even participated. They just assume its a scam. I have been on DealDash for about 4 years. Last week I won the Kamiko set of 3 Japanese knives. Winning price was $18.80 and I spent about $40ish in bids. So about $60ish total for knives worth over $1100 on Amazon ($750 on eBay).
    The most important thing you pointed out is how much the item is worth and how much people spend in bids plus the price they have to pay for the item. I have seen $50 gift cards sell for $75. So it is important you keep track of how much you have spent in bids plus the price you pay if you win the auction.

      1100.00 for a set of 3 steak knives, LMAO. Shit man are those knives made of platinum or something, You wound up spending 60 dollars on 3 cheapo Japanese steak knives? I shake my head very fast over the stupidity of people that bid on this obvious scam Deal Dash.

    • @darrylginwright
      @darrylginwright Před 7 lety +1

      You are Absolutely Correct.....$1100 for a set of 3 Steak Knives would be Absolutely Dumb! Good thing they were not steak knives. Actually I never referred to them as steak knives. I always look at prices at 2 or 3 other sites before I bid on something (Amazon, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, and Frys, just to name a few). Below are 2 links, 1st one is the auction I won, the second one is the price on Amazon. Amazon has dropped the price down to $799.99. They were $1100 on Amazon when I won the auction. If you want me to I will send you a link to every auction I won, I don't mind. Anyway, here are the links:
      www.dealdash.com/battle.php?auction_id=4962109
      www.amazon.com/Kamikoto-Kanpeki-Knife-Set/dp/B011LBF5H4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1477269596&sr=8-1&keywords=Kamikoto+%E7%A5%9E%E7%AE%8F+Set+of+3+Japanese+Niigata+Steel+Kanpeki+Knives
      If you do think its a scam, please do not waste your money on it. No matter what you win, it will never change your perception.

    • @hooliganry
      @hooliganry Před 7 lety +4
