My New KP3S has hotend/extruder troubles. When i got it it was printing perfectly, (for the price) A Benchy test that made my Ender 5 plus's look rubbish. But a week in, it stopped playing. Cheap copies of quality parts let it down. But they will be replaced with the Real components. Its a solid little printer.

Just bought one and on the way to make it perfect because the company does not care of quality control.
Found a clog in the hotend not removed raising temp to 260°. Had to use 2mm drill with slow electric screewdriver to open from top. Better to use an all metal heatbreak if it appens again.
The PSU fan is easy to silence. Open it cut the wire and put a Mini 360 DC-DC step down buck to modify tension from 24v to 12-15v, choose right compromise between noise and airflow. The mainboard fan is silent, no need to alter it's speed.
Quite nothing was perfectly aligned, had to loose every single bolt and fasten again to adjust every perpedicularity.
Clean the lead screw with solvent and lubricate with right grease. Same for rails.
Now I'm preparing custom hotend cage to accomplish a 4020 fan Sunon MF40202V2-1000C-A99 DC 24V 0.68W. The only one rated at 21db available also in RGB led version.
Some metal parts on the extrusor.
    Anti backlash for lead screw.
    Silicon spacers instead of springs.
    Rigid stepper coupler.
Foam panel under the bed helps reducing power consumption.

The other day I bought a Hotend replacement on their site, and came with a clogged Heat Break. Should I mount it without checking that out, would probably damaged the Titan. I decided to buy another ones via Amazon

@@LaCamaCaliente3D I did some mods and now I've a little companion for my designs and printings. I've changed hotend with V6 bi-metal, 350°C thermistor, 3D Touch, CHT clone nozzle, and new Marlin firmware with linear advance and input shaping. I print PLA and PETG at 100-120mm/s with good printing quality.
But Kingroon is dismissing all the old generations like this and the KP5L for new machines like KP3S Pro V2, KLP1 and soon a KLP1 Max.

Great Work!! Love the Cylon Helmet complete with the LED too … I was expecting your review on assembly and to see if it worth, I have a KP3S Pro without Linear Y Axis, and planning to mod it, but I think on doing my own version. Oh and the KP3S V2 ROCKS!! … IMHO sometimes these 3D Printer makers do a great trade-off between delivering an affordable, quality, and doable product, whilst in a way also using the clients as a test tube. Nobody knows all the answers though. In the meantime, I'm happy with my Volkswagen and my Tesla (3D Printers) BTW.

Especially hilarious to see the exact same product from different sellers at about the same price, but all with different "discount" percentages and *wildly* different "normal" prices.

    you were talking about price
for $10 more ($219) you can get the sunlu S8 which is a SR-10 clone
    300x300x450
and yes, it is pretty much a straight clone of a CR-10, no bed leveling, no bells and whistles (yes THAT cr-10)

The v rail rollers are not worth it... I'd get a KP5 instead if I wanted a larger printer and I do have one.

Gotta say Mr Professor, I very much enjoyed this video!
The editing was superb, the flow felt good, even with editing room Joe interjecting (twice).
I would like to know what the music was for the Patreon names, is that something you could include in the description? 🙂
Edit1: why does the plate look like a Vesa compatible mount?

In your edited comments during the video you keep mentioning the „MK3, MK3S, MK3S Pro“. This is quite confusing cause those are all Prusa Printers, but the video is on the Kingroon KP3/S (pro). Or did I miss something?

    • @3dpprofessor
      @3dpprofessor  Před rokem

I wanted to mention the prusa printers because they can also be bought as a kit and assembled.
Initially I wanted to use this printer as a jumping off point for a general discussion about kit printers, but it got kind of kiaboshed by this upgrade kit being so poorly put together that it became all about it moments before I started recording.

I can NEVER get TPU to come thru that extruder, It always gets caught up on something and it gets jammed up. Every Time.

Though your last remark in the last few videos really annoys me, as I'm not a child of God. Would really appreciate it if you'd put that kind of content in another channel instead of this one.
