"Cult of the Lamb is an eclectic mix of a base management game and an action roguelite that come together extremely well. Its combat is immensely satisfying even if its short runs and the relative lack of variety between them doesn’t give it the lasting appeal of other action roguelikes, but building your very own cult base and tending to a flock of followers can be just as fun as any swing of the axe."

I've literally never played a roguelite before this game but the cult mechanics, art and music drew me in. Super fun game!

@@thatonetemplar lmao for a 13 hour game the price should be lower, like at least 20 if not 15 dollars.
3:10 the "ineffective goo" can oneshot or deal a LOT of damage to the enemies that are hit by it the moment it lands, after that it applies a blight on them dealing DOT
aside from that, you can dash cancel most weapon combos (except for the hammer of course, which you can release earlier to make it faster and still deal a considerable amount of damage) to do the animation of each attack twice, and extend the time it takes for an attack to be released
you can also aim it
and it hurts :(
And the hammer has the capabity to hilariously one shot bosses with the right combo. I'm talkin crit chance with the night multiplier and the XVII version. Just go right in and BONK everything

The fact that you were happy with your 13h and it felt more like a linear game honestly sold me on this. Keen to pick up the physical down the line.

The soundtrack is a great highlight, the way it carves the contours of cult building and combat. River Roy should get an award for his outstanding chillhop innovation..
the lack of variety was due to money issues since its an indie game. Now that it's really popular they are planning on releasing a free update with a post gameplay additional story plus a bunch of other stuff
Yea, the reason games like Ghost Of Tsushima and Red Dead Redemption 2 turned out so well was because they already had Millions in funds from their previous games. Indie on the other hand, they often don't have very much funding, so things like Kickstarter are a savior to them

Great game by Developers and team, there pushing the limits with FMOD as well because sound is key! Sounds amazing in surround sound if you have the right setup with Sub! Awesome game

I'll pick it up at a later date. Seems kinda lacking in content for a roguelike after you beat the game. Devs did say they plan for more content in the future.

The incor curses do work, mostly on bosses though that stay still long enough to suffer from it.

Gameplay music and everything in this game is so entertaining and addicting the game is beautiful give it a try you won’t be disappointed period
Sigh they should of made the fighting gameplay have some depth and be playable for for 20+ hours like hades because the management is amazing which by it self to me is 10 plus hours and both could be added on through dlcs…if they keep adding new things to the fighting and management over time like dead cells and no man’s sky this could be the perfect game.
The genre swerve makes me think of Brutal Legend

saying the gloves are bad is a wild take, they're easily the strongest weapons in the game, take a tiny fraction more skill to be competent with.

This game has absolutely nothing to do with don’t starve besides being top down and having a somewhat similar art style.
The art style reminds me a LOT of Hollow Knight's, which is great

Seriously? Cult of the Lams is related to Oxygen not included? At what aspect? Air pressure/temperature management or perhaps building machines to liquify metals ores to purify them? Or maybe temperature management, when your base becomes a baking oven that heats itself?
