  • I Test Tec Bike Parts Gas Shocks and review them on the difference they make to my 2009 Triumph Bonneville, mag wheel addition. I ride just north of Nelson situated in New Zealand on some great roads, SO if your thinking of upgrading your suspension heres my two cents..#Triumph

    I've had my 2010 Bonnie mag wheel since new. Typical black, just like yours and many others. Love it. Bought it because coming from sport bikes, I knew the 17" mags would make the bike out handle the other models while also giving me, by far, the widest selection of performance tires to choose from when the time came to change the rubber. It's modified like.many others, clubman bars, exhaust, Power Commander, etc...but one thing I did, I have yet to see anyone else do. Frankly, I'm surprised. I pin striped it to look just like the popular (in it's day) black, '79 mag wheel, with gold pin stripes.
    Anyway, great machine. I think you just made the single best improvement anyone can make.

      @@dbsevenmoto3519 The front is mushy. It dives when I stop and rises up when I accelerate. The rear is bouncy. Have had a couple of scary moments on the highway with the bounce. I'm putting them on this Friday and will will do a couple hundred miles on Saturday.

    Are the front springs you purchased the same length as the stock springs or did you have to cut the 30mm off the alloy spacer tube to fitment?

    • @dbsevenmoto3519
      @dbsevenmoto3519  Před 4 lety +1

      Hey Adrian, they were from TEC USA and the same length as stock so no need to cut. made an amazing difference..

    @carsonnguyen4423 Před 4 lety

    Which bar end mirrors are those ? And TEC told me I have to cut the spacers for my 2012 mag wheel Bonnie- but I read in your comments it’s unnecessary? Is there anyway to confirm which way I need to go? Just compare the factory sprint to the new one?

    • @dbsevenmoto3519
      @dbsevenmoto3519  Před 4 lety +1

      I got my front end Tec springs through USA and when I told them what make etc they sent me the right length spring so i didn't need to cut spacer.. Just cheap Bar in mirrors I got at a motorcycle shop for 7/8 bars. Sorry can't help much more than that..
