A new self-balancing, hands-free, electric scooter, "hoverboard", Segway. It's a TON of fun to ride and has a LOT of fun features and specs.
Max speed: ~10 MPH
Distance: 13.5 Miles
Very fast and easy to learn to ride. Leaning of your body weight effects forward and backward movement, while the middle control rod turns left or right with subtle nudges with your legs or knees. Very intuitive and becomes natural with just a little practice.
The bluetooth app has a ton of control and customization; speed, distance, battery life, set speed limits, LED strip animation modes (breathing, rainbow, etc), will even over-the-air (OTA) update the Ninebot firmware when needed.
Performance is impeccable! Very fast, zippy, and reactive! Great for precise movements (steadicam filming), plus powerful and durable for flying up and down hills, or even off roading!

Hi Ben. Thanks for the review. I'm having difficulty with the body weight to control the downhill slopes, slowing down or stopping! It rides forward and back successfully. it's just stopping when going downhill.

This thing is 10x better if you order the handlebars for it you can get it off there site. I have a video using the handlebars once I added them never went back to the knee staring, works like a charm :)

I got mine for Christmas and this is a million times better than the hover boards! I have to go travel around my town with it for a while. As you said about turning, I'm able to stand straight up whenever I turn around, but it may just be how we push against the knee control pad. Great review and thank you!

I think you can buy an adjustable steering lever... Im not sure where but I saw it in a video of a Ninebot Mini Pro so maybe its just for the pro version. But if im not mistaken you can actually take of the arm/lever off so I think there might be a way to replace it

If you find it difficult riding the single wheel devices, this is the next best thing. Same technology as an electric unicycle, but without the learning curve.

i had one of these then i upgraded to an electric unicycle and man that was worth it look into electric unicycles before buying on of these! (you wont regret it)
I would use it as a transportation device like unstead of walking or biking I just need to lean forward or backward and im off to the sunset
I was considering the Segway Ninebot S Smart Self-Balancing Electric Scooter for steadycam opertion. But, I'm leaning towards the Halo Rover X Electric Hoverboard Bluetooth 8.5". It's the terrain capabilities that appeal to me. if you agree this is the better choice, please don't hesitate to confirm.
This thing is way better than any ''hoverboard'' or one wheel thing. This actually makes sense.

Package:
Really well and properly packed, reminded me the Apple products, looks like Ninebot/Segway put a lot of money and thought on every detail.
Smartphone App: absolutely fantastic, provides information about EVERYTHING and you can adjust sensors, lights, speed, enable alarm, use as a real-time dashboard, remote control like a robot!
How far can you go on a single charge:
30km at least. I can go to work and come back home at top speed + spend a lot of time playing around, give to my friends to try... it just feels like you have an endless battery, you get tired after about 7km riding it.. I would say it would be pretty hard to run out of battery as you ride. The charger fits in my pocket, slightly bigger than a laptop charger.
Speed:
16kmh may not sound very fast but you realise the speed if you have to jump off... it's actually pretty fast and it peaks 17-18kmh to correct your position and keep your body straight up.
Yeah... so much fun!!!! =]
these types of "hoverboards" have been around for a long time. used for film and broadcast

I love mine I hated the speed limit and I could not get the app to work for a month so could not unlock the limit I was so passed off at that ,but now I got the app to work and the limits off its better although it still a bit slow for me ,I go everywhere on it its so smooth and never ever throws me unlike my uni wheel ,or even my skateboard ,never found a inmotionv3 v3 I so want one too but it's not around in UK bBend can you please send me the link hugs konny xxx

You can get a handle extension for it
it's very heavy and hard to turn right or left and it make pain between the legs where is the black handles,can I remove this Handel?!

how was riding in the sand. I noticed at one point you were doing it and then lifted it up to get on more solid sand. Did you feel like sand was going to break the device or was that just cause you got stuck and knew it wouldn't ride over soft sand?
It's not meant to ride in sand. As you noticed, yes, if it's more tightly packed sand, it'll actually drive okay

AuthenTech - Ben Schmanke I've watched a few of your rideable review videos good production value but your lack of what is really good for these devices really shows. Most rideables you have reviewed have been heavily outweighed on the positives rather than the negatives making your "reviews" seem more like an advertisement. I personally ride them and there are clear negatives that you didn't state had you properly tested the vehicles with enough time.
I am just asking when will the hoverboard have got full power how long does it last until it needs recharging again

Yes my 3 is all Ninebot mini have 1 white and 2 black. I bougt then directly from China because I work a lot there and send them to HongKong and then from HK to Sweden. I paid totally 545 USD / each include shipping and tax. In China they cost 1999RMB=308 USD
haha, alright, actually i am from China and i just finished my holiday there. Now i am back in Finland(we are neighbours :D ). I paid 1999 RMB for ninebot mini and another 1400 RMB for the shipping&tax. It was sent in Shen Zhen and it totally took me 2 weeks to receive it, now it is in front of me and i love it xD Summer is comming, time to make some good use of it. haha

Thats great. I had a Big problem to send them here because no accepted the big battery as are inside but finally I find a solution and it only take 3 days for me to get it to Sweden from HK by DHL ;-)
