The "barker bird" at the entrance to Adventureland was soon removed because it created too much of a traffic jam.

I wish disney would build a park or at least an area in a park where the theme is old disney rides, where the disney's history and it outdated rides can still be enjoyed. Yeah some of the old epcot ride where outdated but it moved beyond that, if some of these rides could be seen for another 100 years just the level of how bizarre they are in themselves would be an attraction, people would enjoy them.

That is a lot of computers. In the modern version, the whole thing is probably controlled by an industrial PLC the size of a lunchbox. I'd love to see some more behind-the-scenes footage.

That would be SO cool! And they could have TONS of stuff there, not just the classic Disney rides: maybe revive 50s styles for resturants, clotheslines, and NO POP STARS!!! They could call it "Retro Disney"!

@disneyanimationfan41 The original IS back, as of August of 2011,
sort of. The fountain is gone. The 3 minute Offenbach number is too.
So is the "Let's All Sing Like The Birdies Sing" audience participation
segment. But its close to the original and so welcome after their
horrible mistake of using Gilbert "Garbage" Gottfried's big mouth to
RUIN the Disney classic for years. The Tiki Room is back to near
its original peaceful beauty, and that's enough for us.

@twoeffs38 The Tiki Room (Under New Management) at Disney World has a small fire last January and Iago was destroyed. Rumor has it that when it reopens in a few months, it will be the original show again. Hopefully Disneyland will follow suit and bring back Country Bear Jamboree (perhaps in California Adventure).

@Costerguy1234556 It was a joke, based on an Urban Myth. You know the Myth that Walt's Severed head is cryogenically frozen under Sleeping Beautie's Castle until the day they find a cure for Cancer. I then made the assumption that if Disney being the innovator he was, was able to build these computers (which for anybody at the time was an achievement in themselves) then by the time of his death his team must have made a super computer that could sustain his frozen head. Again it's a joke :{p

@tamisweetie Underground! The Disney parks are built on top of huge rooms
and tunnels where the machinery and electronics operate, food deliveries are
made and technicians maintain the machinery.

@Costerguy1234556 I'm convinced, Walt Disney is indeed buried in a eugenically frozen coffin. With all of those computers running the show, I'm sure by his death they had an unrivaled super computer the likes the world has never seen.

Fritz wasn't a puppet. One of the Nazis who built Disneyland actually transferred his consciousness into the body of a bird in order to escape the war crimes tribunal.

In my opinion the original attraction without Iago & Zazu is just dull and boring, plus it's far too bright and cheerful without those characters. Too bad it caught on fire in January 2011, and now my favorite Aladdin & Lion King characters are gone. I thought it was much more fun and exciting with them in it. But who knows, they might make a comeback someday, and maybe "Honey I Shrunk The Audience" might replace "Captain EO" again. I liked "Honey" better.

Why Walt, why? America may never fully recover from this insidious early 60's nightmare. An insult to authentic Tiki aesthetics and moral principles. More rum please, and make it Haitian Barbancourt!
