I am open to correction but I should imagine the first part of your video showing the spiral staircase and that long room would be the billet for the soldiers. Those staircases were built in that fashion based on the premise that the majority of people are right handed and woukd have their swords in their right hand. If the soldiers had to fight their way down to the lower level they would be able to easily wield their swords but the enemy coming up the stairs would not really be abke to use their swords with their right hand there was not enough room for their body and space for the wielding of their swords. They would easily be killed by the soldiers coming down the stairs. Likewise if the enemy resorted to using knives instead the knives blades were far shorter than the reach of a long sword. Yet again beautiful Norman architecture and carvings. The great hall where the king held banquets and feasts and honourable occasions must have been spectacular.
That tea room looks to me like the ancient dtable stable block. You xan see the remains of the arches which would be the individual horse stalls.
I was very interested to see that the gatehpuse interior stone work looked like it matches the norman building you looked at previously. Dudley must have rebuilt it to impress his love lorn Queen.
I was fascinated by the floors in the gate house. It does not take a lot to stretch the imagination to biew the castle with those same floors on all the missing levels.
That last building uou looked at looked like another part of the fortifications possibly a guard tower. What a massive estate.
Thank you for this tour it was very interesting and great to watch. I have learned a lot watching it. Go well.

That's very interesting đŸ€” Not really thought of it like that. Being right handed and the architecture built around fighting like that. I like it when people educate me đŸ€Ł

@@marcsghostycorner4336 likewise that is a fascinating castle estate. I really enjoyed watching it. I have edited my previous comment and added some more to it. This was so good that I commented a bit and then had further ideas to add. I truly believe that a tour of this castle would be more interesting than Buckingham palace. Lovely stuff. ❀
