It encapsulates breathtaking views and petite villages, ancient woodlands and majestic chalk rivers, undulating cliffs and busy coastal towns; the area is seeped in visible history, rich in wildlife, and full of character.

Nono, you are so wrong (and so naive)! The beauty of her youtube channel is that she is free to define her own content and form, free from «programming concepts» political correctness and all sorts of non-creative and administrative nonsense. God please do not turn this gem into mainstream TV.

My son (13) and I did the SDW in early April 2021 setting off from Winchester late at night in -2 degrees. Five cold, wild camped nights later we arrived in Eastbourne. We live about three miles south of the half way point so placed a cache there but we had some lovely moments. We found the ridge along the top of Brighton featuring Ditchling beacon dragged on but then that could be a function of being day four with morale dipping. Many water taps had been turned off but the stopcock is generally close by and troughs are quite frequent.
The video was lovely to review and spot places we stopped for meals and camp.
    Good work Abbie.

This was my last LDFP before leaving the UK in 2005. Like you, I was blown away by this trail and in my opinion, is one of the top three. You made an incredible film. Some bits I hadn't seen before just because they weren't there when I walked the SDW. Wondeful commentary. Thank you for taking me along with you. I really enjoyed myself.

Brilliant video, very informative. Did you know that the Sustainability Centre used to be the Medical Centre of a Naval Shore Training Establishment, HMS Mercury ? I was based there from mid 1976 to mid 1977, and again for a few months in 1983. Sadly, the old Medical Centre and Leydene House are the only buildings left. Brought back memories while watching your video though. Did this hike a few years ago, and am doing the Isle of Wight Coastal in May, and the Two Moors Way in June. Will be watching your videos on those two walks as preparation. Keep up the good work.

Hi Abbie, this is one of your best, I've really enjoyed it, you're a joy to watch and listen to. I really like your narration and commentary, as well as the way you edit your film. Such a shame your night was spoilt by the caravaners, why would people do that to a lone camper? I'm pleased you mentioned it and then got back to your happy self. I'm really disappointed that I can't make your Osmington weekend, as I'd really enjoy spending a day walking and talking with you. If you're ever walking in Dorset somewhere, please let me know. I did the first half of this on 2016, and I also spent quite a lot of time wandering around Winchester trying to find the start - looks like we did a similar circuit! For anyone watching this video who is planning the walk, the official start is apparently the old city mill, even though the dotted line on the Explorer map extends further into the city than that. The grid ref is SU 485 292 :)
Wonderful video, makes me want to go and finish the other half!

When I visited the UK the walking (and the history) on these trails is one of the things that I most enjoyed. We don't have anything really like this in Australia, so I missed it for a long while afterwards! I also watched the Julia Bradbury Wainwright Walks in recent years, and bought one of the books to follow along! I agree with the value of getting out there and all the benefits that it brings. Cheers! SJ
