    Excellent Video!! Not only informative but your punchlines are awesome ! :D But I have one question.. agreed that historically the returns have been 8 to 10% for NPS schemes since inception, but I noticed that they were started either in 2009 or in 2013, both at the time when economy was low.. do you think there could be possibility of it averaging down to 5% to 6% over the years provided the investment is started now when market is still absurdly high (Jun 2021) ?

    • @akatsukipm3114
      @akatsukipm3114 Před 9 měsíci

      No, because considering age 25, you will contribute till age 60, i.e from current calendar year 2023 to 2058. Since India is a major growing economy, by 2058 our GDP will be around $30+ trillion dollars. Our market will only grow from here. Hence, I feel we should expect returns of even 10 to 12%. But one major point of concern is the inflation rate. Who knows how much the inflation will be by 2058 !!

    Every investment has it's pros and cons
    PPF is very good Option for various reasons
    Nps, I can see
    1 entry level extra tax saving
    2 as locking period is longer, so can get moderate returns ( no guarantee of 10% 🤔)

    There is a convience fee plus gst charge for each installment of nps. Approximately 25 rs per sip. So if you are doing a 5k sip for 12 months in nps, you need to consider the extra cost 25*12 = 300 rs per annum. Lets say you are doing this for 30 yrs then around 9-10k rs are gone as charges.
    You can calculate it according to number of sips.
    This charge is never discussed nor disclosed by anyone. You get to know when you start nps.

    the interest on ppf is calculated quarterly while at the end of of video where you show calculation of maturity amount for ppf you have taken annually.

      No. Interest on PPF is calculated based on the monthly balance at the end of the year. The interest rate is announced by the government quarterly.

      @3devansh Před 3 lety

      @@SVSwamy I dont think so , it is calculated monthly which revised quarterly by govt. It is deposited into your account annually at end of FY year but it is not calculated annually i.e only once a year.

    Excellent Video.. Just for Private sector employees falling in 30℅ tax Bracket
    We can take advantage of 50k tax benefit and invest only that amount in NPS rest all better invest in index fund which normally gives 11℅ return in longterm.
    Atleast during retirement You have full amount with you to do whatever u want. In case of NPS if u retire at 60 only then u get 60℅ and 40℅ goes in annuity plan. If u retire before it then 80℅ goes in annuity which is really a big catch and amount is locked. Let me know your thoughts on it

    @labourlawadviser my experience in nps is not so good in case of equity exposure. So 10% is not achieved in nps. It is around 8 to 8.5%. Even when i have switched the fund manager still equity part is not handled well. So it is better to choose govt n corporate bond 75%

      10 year average returns in Equity in NPS is 12-13 percent.Lower returns might be possible in initial few years but once you cross 7-10 years, that's when one reaps benefits of an equity instrument like stocks or mutual funds or NPS

    Good video bhai, to summarise NPS is better option for people who lack discipline,50000 extra tax benefit is also a plus point. When u said 60% of NPS maturity amount is equal to 100% PPF amount it is enough to decide NPS is better. What percentage fund allocation do you recommend in Equity,govt bonds, corporate bonds to get minimum of 10% returns?

    We should also take inflation into account while calculating the NPS or PPF maturity amount....The value that 1 crore has today might not be same after 30-35 years. I think the NPS and PPF calculators should also take inflation into their calculation....But yes, I agree NPS is much better than PPF...
