I hope this movie depicts the internal struggles Oppenheimer went through morally & ethically and all that with truth. Cannot always know if a film will be great because of a dire and liked everything Nolan mostly since Batman. Trailer hooked me and definitely will see this !!

I saw the trailer at the theater yesterday and definitely want to see this! I have a degree in physics and have been to Oak Ridge National Laboratory where they developed the nuclear material for the bombs. On top of that I'm a WWII history junkie so I already have a great interest in the subject. Christopher Nolan is a top-notch director and the cast seems great. Looking forward to it. Thanks for the review!

The joke line about possibly destroying the world wasnt even just a joke, remember: nobody actually knew what would happen with the first nuclear bomb, there was a real theory that the entire atmosphere of Earth would ignite...and be destroyed. But the choice was made to go ahead....and the rest is history.
Christopher Nolan is my favorite director, so you know I'm excited for this one. Oppenheimer looks like another Nolan masterpiece.
I think Dennis villaauneve hes a better director recently
@@freshoftheoven965 Nolan rules, but Villeneuve’s track record is near unmatched since 09, also Dune pt 2 will be his 9th movie since 09 compared to 6 for Nolan which gives him an edge. They’re both stellar directors tho and it’s always a great time when either have a new movie out.

Oppeheimer tried to poison his tutor by giving him a apple, true story! The guy was mentally genius but unstable, thankfully the tutor never ate the apple ... I hope they show it in the movie but doubtful, this looks like a masterpiece.

Thry asked him to build a new thermonuclear bomb. ( hydrogen bomb) 50s he said no .
It looks accurate. They did actually make s movie about this before. With Paul Newman in the mstt damon role . ( John cusack, and the lady from jurassic Park. Laura Dern. ) ( showdow makers. )( the mannhatten project) but that part about the possibility of ending the world is in that movie as well . ( he was taking about ignition of the atmosphere) ( setting the air on fire ) which is possible. . Matt damon character was the general in charge of the project. ( the relationship is a bit like in rogue one , krennic and galen ) but before this project he build the pentagon. Pual Newman was wonderful in it . But it appears very accurate. ( historically) they named the bomb. ( trinity) and they named the second and third bombs ( the one's they used in Japan) ( fat boy and tall boy ) oppenhiemer named the first one. I believe.
I love history and I hope it’s accurate. I guess the only way to find out this watch it.
I live about 1hr away from the Trinity Site and about 1hr form Los Alamos

The timing of this movie's release is kind of scary if you believe in life imitating art. We have never been closer to nuclear war than right now.
