    Hey, Crabby Old Bastard here again. I'm pushing on up to 77 years old now, its just around the corner. I've enjoyed spicy food for over 60 years now, but over the past couple of years I've had to dial back on the heat-o-meter readings when it comes to the spicy-ness. All that being said, these deens are something I might try, it doesn't hurt old people to push the limits once in a while, step out into some unknown areas. There's always the recliner waiting to you welcome you back to a couple of naps a day while trying to read another Nordic Noir murder mystery. Carry on, Mr Carlson, keep up the good work.

    Always eat spicy deens with some sticky rice, the starch helps cool it off and you get all the flavor in the oil to soak up and season the rice really well. Easy hack for a nice lunch at home.

    I know the pepper world has gone nuts the last 15 years or so with finding and breeding crazy stupid hot scorpion peppers and ghost peppers and reaper peppers and what not, but habanero peppers are still no joke and just blending them up and putting fish in them really is gonna be a 'by pepper lovers for pepper lovers' item.

    Habanero Sardines from La Quiberonnaise are very good and spicy while not being super overwhelming like these seem to be lol. They also pack 5 deens in the can, a bit smaller than these but less can volume is taken up by sauce.

    Hi Matt! I love food and flavors and cooking, but I have never delved into sardines. The only time I had sardines was on a pizza in 2000. I just wanted anted to try it. It wasn't great. Fishy pizza was not for me, so I made the mistake of dismissing sardines. I didn't know there are so many kinds nor how to enjoy them. After watching your channel, I am inspired to try some different kinds. I just bought some King Oscar sardines in oil and ate them with chopsticks. They are pretty good. I want to start playing with the idea of adding sardines to my weekly sushi and see what happens. Again, thanks for the inspiration! I'm looking forward to trying different brand in different styles. I love different flavors. Thanks Matt. 😊

    And THIS is why we always have a glass of neutralizing milk on hand, stage left. Spicy as hell is excellent, am so excited for it…and! Milk and cream are a little acidic, yes, but high fat content will neutralize the heat INSTANTLY. Trust me!! Or be a good scientist and try it out-then trust me 🌸
    I giggled my way through this, thank you-I needed it. In my culture we have a super spicy condiment, and we pride ourselves on just how spicy we can make it, but we’re all secretly ascared of it too. We temper it with cilantro, olives and garlic, so might I suggest throwing handfuls of that shit* in there and eating these over rice (with a glass of milk nearby). You might enjoy it. Be well!
