  • Blackburn Rovers FC and Burnley FC are two football clubs within Lancashire. They contest the Cotton Mills Derby or the East Lancashire Derby.
Blackburn play at Ewood Park whereas Burnley play at Turf Moor. In this video I visited both stadiums and told the story of these great football clubs.
From the origins of football within England to the current day, Blackburn Rovers and Burnley have always been competing in the English Football leagues.

One of the fiercest derbies there is. It's not just about football this one, the two towns hate each other, even if you live in one town and don't support one of the two teams, you still hate the other town and team, its such an intense rivalry.

Lord wanted Stanley out of the way as he believed that he could get their supporters to change their allegiance to Burnley. Look it up if you don’t believe me!

My eldest brother and only sister were both born in rawtenstall b4 coming south. All my mums family are lancastrian. I have distant cousins in blackburn and as a kid use to go to blackburn for our family holidays " great days " and my late uncle was a burnley fan. You can’t purchase a ticket for this match without the bus/coach fare lined up by each club. This is to minimize the aggro between each set of fans and I’ve supported Burnley since 1973, and there’s been loads of trouble at fixtures between both these clubs it’s an intense English rivalry that is uo there at the top with any other rivalry. @briancampbell3310 don't be silly Blackburn fans stay away because of the dreadful ownership when was the last time you had 30000 at a home game oh sorry you can't your grounds not big enough be we have we used to get regular gates of 27000+ most big home games and we got 30000 at home v Oxford when we got promoted from the 3rd when was the last time you got gates like that ? Say what you like but Rovers will always be a bigger club than Burnley when we were I. The FA by rights had to give the trophy to the Rovers for keeps on achieving a hat trick.
However the FA pleaded poverty and instead placated Rovers by giving the club the honour of being able to use the club crest on corner flags.
You'll notice other clubs do it now regardless of the fact they shouldn't have the right.
