One of the greatest and most underrated songs EVER by an incredible singer/songwriter/composer Patrice Rushen.
There is a reason why Prince wanted to immerse himself all things Patrice during the early years of his career. Greatness recognizes greatness.

Came across Hindley Street Country Club via their cover of Michael McDonald's 1982 classic I Keep Forgettin' .... and thought that I would see how the mustard is cut with Patrice Rushen's signature track Forget Me Nots (1982): Impressive ... very impressive.
Patrice Rushen the most underrated female performer, musician and producer ever. It's good to see them bring this tune back.
Never ceases to amaze me how the truly talented, like Patrice Rushen , often get overlooked for no talents.

I'm still a fan of Patrice Rushed and it's been nearly 40 years. She was and is just as talented as Stevie Wonder and the late Prince. Remind Me has to be one of the smoothest songs of all time.

I am beginning to believe that the singers in this group are AI. They have an endless supply of outrageous singers. The keyboard player singing with the lead worked perfectly. Great bass playing as usual. The sax player really fit in the groove and made me want to hear it again. What a incredible bunch of talent all in one room. Amazing!

I've met and interviewed Patrice Rushen back in the 70's and seen her play live several other times. This cover is almost perfect !!!!!
Correction. This cover couldn't be more perfect no matter how many times they rehearsed this song. No disrespect intended. LOL
How much rehearsal is needed to achieve such perfection? This band is on top of their game!
For band members this talented, maybe two or three rehearsal sessions to perfect it, along with a number of other songs mixed into the rehearsals.

This song is where I started with HSCC, what a great performance; Nikki just nailin' that vocal and her presence (!), plus her rapport with Darren singing backup vocals, and Con so deep in the pocket with that drivin' bass and singing backup as well. Great sax solo too. Probably as good here as HSCC got.

Having worked in R&B radio for years, and in studio recording HSCC is on point every time, female vocals are awesome and one of the tightest bands I have really ever heard. Just great.

How the heck do they get that sound so full, rich, dynamic range, reverb is dead on...processing is dead on...sounds like a studio in LA or NYC !!
Brad James it sounds great for sure and that’s because it’s not over processed. Too many bands rely on reverb, delays, too much compression etc. HSCC does it’s thing with great talent in the band, in front of the mic and behind the board.
@@hibbasc1 yeah...I hear the reverb...they do have a very clean sound. And yes, Band is tight..no doubt. There is nothing like good processing that has such a rich full sound but not over-cooked. Would love to know what they are using.

Let’s not forget the sound engineer who mic’d everything perfectly, EQ’d every channel perfectly, mixed, and post-produced the song perfectly. I wonder how much he got paid because he must be one busy cat, and made the band sound 10 times better. Good musicians are everywhere but good sound engineers are really hard to find.
It’s me, the keyboard player. I was busy playing in the band while recording but yes I work hard to get a quality sound. I use pretty cheap gear too. Nothing really fancy

Plenty has been said about the bass playing on this track already, but how about a show of hands for the drumming on this track. As a drummer myself I always have huge respect for a drummer who can hold a steady beat, give it a driving feel, and combine with the bass to give the rhythm section an infectious groove that you can't help but tap your foot to.
WOW! Amazing cover of a classic. More often than not, I prefer the original version but this band is phenomenal. Lyrics, harmony, bass, sax, everything! There's so much crap on You Tube and then you come across pure gold like this!

In my opinion, the best cover band on the internet with the best female lead singer in Nikki Heuskes. Nikki's vocal performances are just spot-on with inflections that make the songs "hers". When you combine that with the energy and passion she puts into every song - it sets her apart. The band - superb on all accounts - really, really talented!!! The bar has been raised.

Love this song. Remember the original danced in clubs and at Jersey Shore NJ USA clubs back 1982 into summer 1983 up. Huge hit then. Patrice and band doing great job of keeping it original. Some songs you just don't go off the grid. I'm now a fan Patrice👏👏🇺🇸💃🕺
