That is a Carolina Banjo built by Ryan Navey, who is currently making banjos and has a website you can look at and contact him. He is a warm, wonderful person and a talented musician, luthier and artist. He has innovations on his banjo that caused me to order a custom short neck from him, carved with designs of my choice. He has no metal rims on the outside, making it a much more comfortable banjo to hold. You can choose the kind of wood and tone ring (metal or wood) which you desire. Give him a jingle! Tell him I sent you -- mine was the first banjo he made after going full time into banjo building. He was a carpenter for 20 years before that. If you've seen Craig Evan's banjo builder DVD series, he is on Volume 8.
