It's amazing how on point this reading is! I recently launched a Kickstarter/crowdfunding campaign for my Ancestor Wisdom Healing Cards (centered on vintage photos of my African American family). I must raise the full goal amount to receive any funds so I'm a bit nervous. At the same time, while this effort is the highlight of my creative life, my adult son is draining me emotionally and financially. I recently had brain surgery about a year ago in July. I have never been a person to sit to be taken care of. Against medical advice, I have been very impatient with my recovery and I just realized that the reason for that is because I know that people need me. It was like a blow to my chest when the realization hit. I don't know how to just be and put myself first. I am only now trying to do that. I've taken up Pilates for mental clarity and the hardest thing that has been tough to do is to tell people NO and tell myself YES, so this reading has slapped me in the face. I am exhausted but I refuse to live in it. I am really trying to put myself first and make my own happiness and find out who I am and live for every reason spirit has given me to be here. I’m definitely feeling depleted. I work full time, support and care for my sick grandmother, work for 2 charities that are close to my heart plus supporting (financially) my two young adult children. It’s a lot! I practice self care, go to the gym and meditate daily and I’m so grateful, however I’ve found myself at breaking point a couple of times.

Tired, yes. I found out I’m deficient on iron, however it’s environmental. I was asked to join a volunteer start-up team In now in it with and next week is my final and last class before I get my EMR certificate!! -It’s a home stretch in energy! In the class I am surrounded by a fun, supportive class that seems to look to me for the answers, haha. The class is so stressful but completely rewarding. Many of these people I’ll see again in August.

Ma’am! I rewatched this video and I was reminded of my work situation. Thursday I decided to take a 6 week mental health break due to the parasitic, narcissistic, energy absorbing supervisor that I have. My last straw was Thursday afternoon when I had my second crying spell this year in less then 2 months regarding this selfish a-hole of a supervisor that does indeed see himself as the king. He hates that I have discovered my worth and asking for what I need on the job. So, he keeps me down by discouraging me from doing the job he has told me to do. Do the work, work done, but he didn’t tell me to do it. So, I’m praying for this man the way that my grandmother prayed for folks.
