Ya know, before people go commenting about Rich bathing his cat, they need to go read his blog about Winston's history and why he occasionally NEEDS baths. This cat has his own needs. Rich takes very good care of Winston. Someone else didn't want to take the time to care for Winston properly. Rich is willing to do it.
My cat Potatoe loves baths about as much as Winston does. They look like wet rats once the water hits their fur!! You are absolutely caring and kind-hearted giving him his bath!! BTW, Im the same way with my baby as well, right done to the wrapping in the towels, LOL!!!
I love Winston...I don't know him but he needs his own T.V. show "Winston & the man" or " I love Winston" Winston & son "he seems adorable, and the way u love your cat is heartwarming, i have 2 persians and love them both just as well...:)
I dont get it. That cat has claws (i could see them), but it didn't slice you up when grabbing you. This is why I can't give my cat a bath because she turns into Freddy Kruger.

Wow, Winston is fairly obedient about being bathed. My cat, Lula, oh dear God. I nearly lost an eye! She is like a hurricane of claws! When Lula fights, she's like the Muhammed Ali of cats.
i love your cat! holy christ. he is wonderful. i find that they dont like running water so i wash mine in a sink full of water. little bit less stressful.
lol i love how his head stays dry and big and fluffy while the rest of his body gets wet and slim .. reminds me somehow of the little spaceman from looney tunes O_o anyway, love your cat, love you.. you two are an entertaining duo, get your own show! guys with cats are so awesome and cute! it's so fluffy i'm gonna die!!!! :D :D
Poor Winston! He's so patient while his owner bathes him - but he's got to be embarrassed that he's being filmed while he's wet....it looks like he shrank by half his size!
I make sure my home is warm when I bathe my kitties because exotics are prone to colds and pneumonia if you're not careful. Also, I blow-dry my kitties after their bath, which warms them right up. :o)
It's not that "Americans bathe their cats", it's that sometimes cats (outside of America, even) get smelly and need a bath. They are self-cleaning but sometimes that isn't enough - Winston's probably getting a bath because he needs it.
No, I take it back from having watched the Christmas video before this one. THIS is one pissed off Persian. How you got such a well-behaved bather is beyond me, but well done.
@easthooligunz Longhair cats, like Winston, can get incredibly matted and stinky if left to their own devices. With their awesome sense of smell, living like that can get uncomfortable. They need bathed occasionally and brushed regularly. Winston is clearly very well looked after :)
Oh my gosh! Winston is so well behaved! He's like 'Help me? Please?' Mine were crazy lovebugs who sent us to the hosptial many times for stitches. They heard water and they freaked. However, our russian blue loved to sit in the shower with us, but we couldn't 'bathe' him. Go figure.
When Winston's fur was wet from neck down it reminded me of that Family Guy episode where Peter's ancestor finds the fountain of youth. And when he comes out he has a small body(Babies body) and his normal huge head. made me lol when I saw Winstons Round fluffy head lol
ahah lol you re really coureagous! i had a persian and i washed him in washbasin and then rinse in bath tub but you are brave because he can easily scratch you!!! sometimes cat can purr in the bath tub lol funny

Apparently Winston is no longer with us. Heartbreaking. He was so precious. May his memory be a blessing.

Believe me, Winston is not too skinny. This is how my two exotics look when they're wet and they're normal-sized, unlike my poor fat tabby cat! :o)
