- Filers with an adjusted gross income (AGI) of $15,000 to $50,000 enjoyed an average tax cut of 16 percent to 26 percent in 2018, the first year Republicans’ Tax Cuts and Jobs Act went into effect and the most recent year for which data is available.
- Filers who earned $50,000 to $100,000 received a tax break of about 15 percent to 17 percent,
- Filers earning $100,000 to $500,000 in adjusted gross income saw their personal income taxes cut by around 11 percent to 13 percent.

Joe Biden’s National Labor Relations Board’s protections for workers forming new unions has been one of the bright spots in a presidency that, to be fair, is a bit uncoordinated. Byron Donalds has been unwilling to raise the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour for all workers or at least tailor a $15 an hour wage raise to solely untipped workers in the country, so you’re right that he’s still playing the typical politician part. He doesn’t even propose a maximum wage for CEOs to help naturally incentivize CEOs to spread more of their pay with workers and/or make their businesses more efficient to help lower consumer prices.

2017, 2018, and 2019, the debt limit was reset at $20.5 trillion, $22 trillion and $28.4 trillion, respectively. None of these bills, when signed into law, contained a precondition to cut spending, despite the wishes of some Republicans.
