Facts. Lakers management always got an excuse of why they don't execute a deal. Most teams already have a deal pretty much done, only needing final approval by the time we hear about it. Not the Lakers they'll wait a whole year and say they're waiting for the off-season so they can leverage more draft picks in order to get a better player(s). Then, when the off-season finally comes, they don't want to leverage their draft picks and try to win now, instead they want to prioritize their future. Lebron shouldn't bother playing these stupid games, he gave them time to get something done, and they didn't execute he should just take the max and have his peace of mind already. That's the least Lakers management can give him since they've had an entire season to think about what they could potentially do with more picks to leverage smh. Lakers are run like an organization that's behind, and just trying to stay a float, NOT actually trying to do what they can to win now.

Lakers aren't getting anyone significant. They may plug a tiny hole and create another hole. Their bet hope for an upgrade is gonna be progress from the players they have, health, and some luck.

Look, I get all the anxiety of the lack of moves from the Lakers, but, in the end, this may be the BEST thing for them.
Let's take a look back,
2020, Lakers "won" free agency when they "upgraded" the championship roster
2021, Lakers "won" free agency by getting Westbrook
2022, was slow, but Jalen Brunson was the "big" move
2023, the Suns "won" free agency and well........
2024, the 76ers and Mavs "won" with 2 older, oft-injured/inconsistent players. Again, sometimes things happen FOR you, not TO you. GO LAKERS!
You are right but Laker fans don’t want to hear that lol they want 5-6 trades to happen in one week lol. They are freaking out (as usual) because they saw other teams (who didn’t do well last year and didn’t even make the playoffs like the warriors) make moves. We are still better than warriors. I think we beat Mavs as well. We haven’t seen our team HEALTHY. Clippers aren’t intimidating like guys are making them out to be. Thunder will be better but we still match up with them pretty nicely as they have NO answer for AD or Lebron for that matter. What moves did wolves make? They lost guys. And Denver? Also lost guys. I think we are actually in a good spot right now are we a championship team? Could be, just need a backup big and wing. I highly doubt this is the team when the season starts and I definitely doubt this is the team once trade deadline hits.
@dindjarin9063 I agree with you. I also realize we can't just add everyone we want because we'd have to lose too much. The reason I started with the 2020 off-season is because after a championship, fans and Rob felt we had to revamp and it set us back. Imagine if we kept that team together and kept our draft pick McDaniels, I believe we wouldn't have had to reach for Westbrook, then give up a ton to offload him. Patience is a virtue, most of the contending teams of the 80's and early 2000's were consistent, maybe an adjustment or 2, but we kept the squad together, and did great things.

When we won in 2020 fans were still complaining that we didn’t have great scoring (sense we were more of a defensive team) so rob reacted and addressed it and of course we ended up losing mainly because of untimely injuries and the bug going around at that time otherwise we would have easily repeated. So it wasn’t the wrong move just unfortunate circumstances. But now after the last couple years I think the front office is starting to ignore fans and that’s why everyone is upset and rolling around on the ground crying and throwing tantrums like children. No moves made last trade deadline either. I think they are done making panic trades if it’s not there they will just do nothing. Of course the fans won’t like that but they don’t see the big picture.

Are u serious ? Haha. Fox and derozan make perfect sense. 1 and 2. Monk comes off bench like he did last year many times. That scoring off bench. Plus lmmalik just shoot threes. Derozan doesn’t. He’s a mid attack player. They can play those three with their excellent passing center and put Barnes or whoever at the 4. Kings never play defense anyway. It’s a great pick up for them if they get it.
You know all 3 are heavy iso guys, play similar roles and outside of fox aren't great defensively. There will have to be times where all 3 are on the court significant min and none of them are elite off ball players. Demar and monk can play off ball but aren't elite. It's why there are questions about his fit with Bron/AD if there are questions about Lebron/AD there are bigger questions about fox/Monk. I'm not saying it won't work but it's not this elite move. Also like you said they never played Defense anyway and thus won't win anything significant. This likely just a move to get them out the playin

I wonder if the Lakers have called the Jazz and asked about getting Markkanen? If the Bulls are really interested in giving a first for LaVine, that would give the Lakers 3 first round picks to give to the Jazz. I would think the Jazz would want Reaves and for Markkanen, I would do it. Trade D'lo, Rui and Vando totaling $46.4M for LaVine ($43M) and first round pick, for the Lakers. Also, carrying a $3.6M TPE. To be used with Gabe Vincent totaling $14.6M to trade with the Knicks for Mitch Robinson. Then trade Reaves, JHS, Max Lewis totaling $18.6M and 3 first rounds picks for Markkanen.

Let's see, rob traded and built a championship team and than the following year upgraded the roster but injuries derailed us going back to back. Then Rob had trades lined up for both Hield/Derozan but LeBron/AD wanted Russ so Jeanie told rob to trade for russ. Than rob had a trade done for Hield/Turner and Jeanie vetoed that trade. So rob pivots and build a team that makes the conference financial when everyone said it was impossible and Lakers had a .2% chance. Last year everyone wanted them to run it back so he did and they won the IST and won 47 games and most believed if they didn't play Denver would of been in the finals again. So where is the bad rob trade? WB was never in his plans.
