4 STAGES OF UNDERSTANDING:
1) becoming aware of an existence of a thing "oh so that exists" ( most people believe at this stages that they completely understand the topic at hand)
2) Learning more theory, thats when you read books and listen people talk about it and you develop a much bigger understanding of the topic and you start becoming more aware of how little you really understand this topic
3) having the first experiences, this is the point you start actually practising what you preach and there depending on what you want to understand you achieve little experiences which lead to true understanding which can only happen through personal experience, which may happen through meditation or psychedelics for example depending on what we are trying to understand.
4) the stage of true understanding. This is where you break through and achieve true absolute understanding. This is a point where you are like "ohhhh, so thats what they were talking about" or "thats nothing like what they were describing" this is a point where you can become a guru and lead other people to understanding of the truth.
So the question is at what stage of understanding our rapper here is about the present?
No need to go through any stages. Just drop 3 blotters and smoke a bowl. At the final stage you will understand that everything is made out of consciousness and it exists in the form of nothing but also in the form of endless potential. You are the one that draws from that potential and creates reality. Then again you are part of that same consciousness. Even those that have seen and felt it have a very hard time describing exactly what everything is. I dont think humans are capable of truly understanding the nature of reality. At least not yet. The understanding the so called truth gives you nothing. Left me completely unaffected.
@Genn Hence why I called it "so called truth". Although in my mind I did experience it. Whether what I experienced was true or not, or if it even was exactly as I described it (since it is hard to exactly describe out of body psychedelic experiences), It doesnt really make much of a difference. Even if I possessed absolute belief in the authenticity of that experience it wouldnt change anything or mean very much. I guess I should have explained more correctly that whatever I experienced I take with a healthy dose of skepticism. My point being that people regard the coming to the understanding of the so called "truth" or profound psychedelic experiences as special and life changing events when they really arent. Well I guess they could be special for someone experiencing it for the first time, but they dont really change anything. Your sober adequate perception of reality stays exactly the same.
