1970's Great Britain produced some of Televisions greatest comedies. The Two Ronnies, Monty Pythons Flying Circus, The Benny Hill Show, Good Neighbors, Keeping Up Appearances, Butterflies and the off the charts legendary Fawlty Towers. The writing on these programs is unmatched. In their humor and originality. Whenever any of these shows appeared on American Public Broadcasting TV in the 1980's, I made it must watch TV. I have all these programs now on physical media. Simply BRILLIANT!! RNB
This is a British classic. The two Ronnies were Ronnie Barker and Ronnie Corbett. They had a TV show on the BBC which ran from 10 April 1971 to 25 December 1987.
How fantastic is this young lady!!! She listens to every request, does not interrupt the clip to go on about things which are not relevant (Which some other contributers do), and by listening to what is said she "Gets" every joke. Well done young lady, I wish that more people would watch this clip and take her example
If you are of a certain age and someone says "How many candles?"
The answer will always be "Four!"
Voted the best sketch ever!
It is a really long time since I saw anyone with such beautiful eyes, and a smile to match them too.
Just a bit of old fun.Billhooks is a play on words for Uk obscene language but not that bad.🤣
the Two Ronnies were never crude, slightly rude but unlike modern comedians who are crude.. the Two Ronnies i dont think there s a bad sketch they did
Should have watched it to the end when the two ronnies were talking because he explains he came up with a new ending later on which is funnier.
This is a surprise! One of the Ronnies' most popular skits. The last bit does not translate too well, but it is rather rude. (It means testicles.)
I see! I thought it was about a guy called Bill (possibly the shopkeeper) who "hooks" (i.e. he's a hooker).
Why didn't you play it to the very end
