- Today's video I'm going to talk about an amazing release coming from New Wave Toys which is Golden Tee and explain why I think they decided to pick this game for their next release. Lot's of butt hurt fan boys out there all mad and bent out of shape over this which is hilarious because it's a great choice to release this. 15:32 I was going to bring that up. It amazes me how many people are upset about this when something like this is probably going to help NWT fill in the financial gaps when it comes to some of the other machines these same people want.
Exactly that’s why I think they’re doing it. But people don’t think about what goes on in the background at companies.

I'm the guy who posted about Atari NFL football and the "Its happening" post. All the negativity are in the thread itself. Its a bunch of dudes saying its a millennial game (which it absolutely 100% wasn't) it was released for adults immediately. Its a Gen X/Boomer game from the start. I understood all the people crying about the Pinball game not being functional. But this one its ridiculous how much people were pissed off about it. One guy even said they think Zelda will be the next release lol (another shot at millennials i guess).
Yeah I agree with you I think people got a little ridiculous for the hate on this announcement. People always want what they want and don’t consider other people’s wants. Shits ridiculous
I also thought this was a generally good look for the company moving forward. If you love the arcade era, and you want to collect something that exudes the nostalgia from that time, NWT has been releasing some awesome stuff all around - and if now they could come with genuine control decks for the games you want to play, how sweet is that? You could keep your arcade on a shelf, and just keep the decks for the games you want to play. That seems like wins all around, but maybe that’s just me.
I agree I think it’s a win too but you always have your complainers no matter what.
I'm one of the guys who really was happy about Frenzy. I'm not into the golf game, but what's wrong with having more options? If I had the money to buy multiple units for a display, I'd get this game along with Zoltar (even though I'm not that into it), because it would look like a complete arcade.

No idea why this is in my feed but I'm always happy to see yet another subgroup of adult infants arguing over entertainment for adolescents. Golden Tee has "butt hurt fan boys" and people talking about "listen to the facts"??? ... it's a golf video game.
I'm not sure if it was the pandemic or whatever happened but people argue about the weirdest shit these days. Sorry for those who are serious about this subject but getting butt hurt over a golf game seems a bit much imo.

Golden tee is not just a bar arcade game 😂😂😂😂 I went to several arcades as a kid and they had golden tee. It's a classic just as much as Daytona USA and House of the dead and the real NFL Blitz with the late hits. I'm sure you've seen golden tee in several arcades back in the day. The new wave toys fan page must be full of people who actually didn't experience being in arcades.

I agree; if you don’t like it, don’t buy it. I also agree, it’s a good idea to expand your customer base. It would be nice to expand the customer base with something your current customers would also want. Some might call that market research which NWT has done in the survey they did for Skee Ball. Too bad they didn’t do a survey for GT.

I didn't say anything bad, I just don't think it's for me. I think, however, had this been Golden Tee Complete it would be going viral and people would be fighting to get it. I think the market is saturated with these versions of Golden Tee. Is Golden Tee awesome, yes it is! I have a pedestal system that I play online and I have the A1up XL Golden Tee. I also have another system running Golden Tee 2007 and I have Target Toss Pro. And I sold another Golden Tee earlier this year, so I am no stranger to Golden Tee. Don't get me wrong, I would certainly display that mini-cab but not at that price for a 1 foot tall display item.

Hint: When you are a member of the NWT fan page, you qualify as a fan boy. Secondly, if you have to tell people the game is famous, it’s not exactly famous is it? I have every cabinet NWT has ever released, this will be the first I don’t buy. As to those that like it, enjoy, but don’t condemn those that don’t want it. NWT has been successful because they recognize their customers and appreciate feedback. The price point sucks, the cabinet is not one that appeals to everyone, including me. The controller thing, I have absolutely no interest in that bs.
Bonus: you piss yourself over 100k cabinets? Just keep in mind Pacman sold 350k cabinets in the 80’s, so put some respect on shit you obviously know absolutely nothing about.
Extra bonus: If you want to solely on NWT releases, Street Fighter II sold over 320k cabs.

I have an original Mrs Pacman Cocktail table and 12 other original arcade machines. So don’t say I don’t know my shit compared to someone that has machines sitting on a shelf.
@@TwistedGamingTV I think you made a reference that Golden Tee was the biggest seller, most cabinets of any NWT ever created. And suggested there were 100k Golden Tee cabinets produced. Well Street Fighter II was 320k and Asteroids 100k. So you’re incorrect in your assumptions. Pacman was a reference just to show how ridiculous a production was back in the day…
Anyway, I do wish NWT the best but they really need to start going after more desired titles and get back to pushing the envelope. Appreciate the conversation and just to share, I’ve had my own full size arcade and bought, sold, and repaired for years. My personal collection was around 50 cabinets.
@@RedHorseAdventures problem with you is you’re getting things totally twisted up on what I was saying. We are talking about Golden Tee is the most famous “Arcade Golf Game of All Time” sold 100k + arcade units which is a huge accomplishment on what type of game it is. We are not comparing it to SF, MK, or pacman.

Most popular Arcade Golf game lol not talking about comparing it to fighting games. Big difference. I’m also saying the new wave toys GT will sell more units than frenzy or berserk.
