@@juliemcdaniel499 Toto = Thriller. They wrote arraigned and composed Human nature and played bass guitars drums and built the rhythm on the big records (Beat it, Billie Jean, Thriller for example).
Julie McDaniel no, they played on Beat It, The Girl Is Mine and Human Nature which Steve Porcaro co-wrote with John Bettis.
Wow, that's interesting bc 2 outta the 3 are my faves; BI, HN & the 3rd LIML. Now if l listen 2 those songs again, I'll hear some of Toto n those tunes. Whoever played any kinda part/role on that album made HISTORY 4EVA. 1 things 4 sho MJ had the best of the best playing a part on that album. Hats off 2 any/all of them. I wish it was me lol.

The keyboard player Steve Porcaro wrote the song Human Nature for Michael Jackson. Lead singer Bobby Kimball also wrote a song for Michael Jackson, Steve Porcaro played synthesizers, keyboard on many of Michael Jacksons , Quincy Jones Qwest records, Brothers Johnson.
Guitarist Steve Lukather played guitar and bass on "Beat It" along with drummer Jeff Porcaro who also played on "The Girl Is Mine" and "Human Nature".
NO WAYYYYYY, I had no idea the keyboard player wrote Human Nature!!! That’s my 2nd favorite MJ song!! (2nd to Dirty Diana.) Thanks for the knowledge!

If you listen to Michael Jackson’s “Human Nature”, you can hear it’s a Toto penned song. Of course they also play on it.

Those were the days of my youth hanging out at the Roller Disco (roller skating rink) it was a great time to experience. How about ROSANNA from TOTO. Those 2 always take me back there.

Forgot to mention in earlier comment - to the twin on the left who wants to learn drums, Toto's drummer Jeff Porcaro was one of the most recorded drummers in music history - he recorded with just about everyone back in your parents' day - he's a legend - it's important you find your own style of drumming, but learn from the masters - get a good foundation - make Jeff proud! (btw, I'm a pro drummer)

One of my favorites! Made at a time when people could actually sing and real instruments are being used. Makes a huge difference in the quality of sound.
