- Part 21 of Alan Wake 2, and with it, the ending of the game! What a wonderful experience it was to play through it, theorising about what truly is going on. I can't wait for the DLC's!

I get your problems for sure. I think how you play the game changes how hard that hits you. As I said in the last videos comment, I played in over the course of two days so everything was fresh and I was so in. Also I adored the songs, honestly my favorite part of the game. I'm autistic so repetion is not an issue for me, infact when I can control it to a degree I adore repetion. Also thematicly it fits, Alan is in a loop so the music loops, but its actually a spiral so down every ring a new verse plays instead, untill the spiral is revealed and the whole song play.
Sitting there listneing to the song in full for the first time was this incredible moment for me, but a lot of folks aren't going to have the experience I and others did. I think this game acomodates a lot of kinds of players, but its genre fiction, and it really wants you to be all in on the genre fictionness of it all. This genre soup of noir detective pastiche meets magical realism, Twin Peaks through True Detective worked really well for me instantly, but thats because of my background in film studies and as a writer and storyteller.
And the Alice stuff is rough. They want that reaction from you, that shock that she killed herself. They want you to feel her loss like Alan did, just so you can feel his relief when it turns out she mislead him. It was the ritual to lead him on, so to speak. But in the moment, its a hard pill of a scene. But I personally think it pays off, though I'm curious how they stick the landing continuing Alice and Saga's story lines going forward.
Also quick theory to end my long comment.
Saga's daughter drowned. In a body of water, possibly a lake that isn't a lake thats acutally an ocean that isn't an ocean? I believe Alan planned to write a loophole into the story to save Saga's daughter, to hide her away in the Dark Place to "keep her safe", without the Dark Presence knowing shes there. Though, he maybe didn't consider the cost that she may still remember her time in the dark place, and what thats going to do to a kid.
everything is a spiral, the music is the same, but no, at least the ones that the singer POE sings, since it is the same song, but with other forms, the same thing happens when you finish the game, Alice appears and when everything ends The credits scene rolls from the beginning again, only this time without any post-credits scene. If you play the final draft there are different things, incomplete videos now complete, different dialogues etc. I recommend that you get into the world of David Lynch, starting on Twin Peaks, He is the influence of Remedy, Kojima and Rockstar Games.
It looks like Remedy is aiming to do the same thing they did with Jesse Faden: she's with the FBC and is the barrier between two worlds. Alan's fate is to either escape from the dark place or become some sort of guardian or master of many worlds.

Still playing through the new game plus so I won't be able to finish this video just yet but really excited to! I do love all the differences throughout the game in the new game plus mode, not to mention having all your weapons and new upgrades of course

Ayoo mafia next lets go im pretty hype ngl .. don’t get me wrong witcher 3 is good and all but that game is 30+ hours long which doesn’t include side quests .. nice dress btw
