    The same guy that wired up the blinkers must of set the clocks on the TFT and Zumo XT. Trying to figure out what time it is in CDA :)
    Good stuff, made the wiring up of the ZUMO XT look nice and simple. Stoked to see what other mods you got in store for this big girl.

      Hahaha that’s funny I didn’t even catch that. I haven’t turned the sumo XT on in months, so I think it was still trying to find satellites.

    I have a '21 GSA and I'm on my 3rd NAV IV. Total POS and it's by far one of the most un-user friendly devices I've ever owned. For me, the biggest, and maybe only positive aspect about it, is the integration with the Wonder Wheel. About a week after I bought the bike, I had regret about getting the NAV with it. Waste of money. I'm DEFINITELY thinking about this upgrade. Problem is, who is going to be dumb enough to buy my NAV IV? That's a SUPER clean install and looks fantastic!

    hi can i ask why you are leaving the fuse on the GPS line when it is being plugged into a dedicated AUX supply?

    In my opinion it looks way better than BMW Garmin Nav, I don't own GSA but all my riding friends do. I am still sticking to my AT

      The AT is an excellent do it all bike. I would still have mine if it wasn’t for just simply wanting to try something new. I’m gonna give this bike a shot for a little bit and I would totally go back if I end up, not liking it.👍🏻

      @@backcountryadvmoto if I had to choose all over again between both new bikes I would still have hard time to decide between New AT and GSA lol even if I had the money to afford GSA 😉 One thing that I love most on GSA is the shaft drive less headache.

    Possible to side step the new wiring harness all together and simply fuse the power and ground wires from the zumo directly to the bike? Current that wiring harness is unavailable.

      Yeah you can. Doing it this way just gives you the ability to have it wired with the key. Wiring it to the battery will work, but you have the possibility of forgetting to turn it off. If you want it work with the “key”, the canbus system can get finicky when just tapping into a wire with power.

  • @nicamnad

    Sorry, the mount from Italy needs no rewiring. Just screw on the adapter and done.

    Thanks for the informative video. What brand and model is your XT mount? I like the solidity of it.

      I’ve read that a lot of people have had problems with the adapter. This is fail proof

    why the fuss, just get the BMW adapter...

    • @backcountryadvmoto
      @backcountryadvmoto  Před 8 měsíci

      The main reason I went this route was that the bmw adapter has had allot of issues. Both when reading reviews and taking to friends who had it. It just want reliable enough for me
