  • Join me as I make handmade volume lash fans using the fastest technique I have ever used (and i've tried many). I invented this (I think) so I honestly don't have a name for it but let's call it a modified Shimmy Method, what do you think?
Note, this technique may be a little overwhelming for beginner lash artists but I promise, it is beginner friendly, just takes a little getting used to - you can do it no matter how advanced you are as a lash technician
For this technique, grab yourself these products, they will enhance your handmade volume experience, i'm sure of it:
    1. The lashes; Choose either of these.
    - Matte Collection *new*. Has a higher taper with a matte finish (aka, no shine) Our widest range of lengths from 5-25mm

    - Ultra Dark - A touch of sheen and a low taper which makes them open up like no other lash fibre I have ever used. They want to fan for you.

    -------
    2. Glue- Using a Non wicking glue will prevent your fans from closing up after you make them. It will also help prevent glue from getting on your tweezers. I always opt for either:
    Quickie - lostartistryla...
    or
    Bondage Pro 2.0 - lostartistryla...
NOTE: I work pretty quickly so I prefer a fast curing glue but if you are a newer artist, I suggest Bondage Glue instead of Quickie or Bondage Pro - Bondage is our best selling glue. It seems to be a fan favourite for all lashing speeds - lostartistryla...
    ------
    3. Tweezers:
Microfibre tweezer is a must IMO - The lashes DON'T FALL OUT, it is amazing. Here are two of my faves:
J Curve (used in this video) - lostartistryla...
    or
Slim Boot (usually my go to) - lostartistryla...
Note: A lot of people don't know this but you CAN mix and match lash fibres. Example, let's say your clients are currently wearing a different lash fibre than one of these, you don't have to remove the whole lash set at their fill if you want to transition them to a new lash line or lash fibre type, just fill them with the new lashes.. I promise, it will look GREAT :)

Yes! I also use this method. I first saw this technique from other lash techs when I was searching up how to do the "flower bouquet technique," so it's great that you also posted this! I love this method because it's pretty effortless once you get the hang out it! It's so neat to see all the different ways lash techs create their fans!

How often do you recommended refreshing glue drops?

I only refresh mine when it shows signs it is time to, otherwise I’ll use the same dot for an entire service.
Signs that glue needs to be changed:
•stringy \ thicker consistency than when you started lashing
•no longer offering a magnetic connection
      • not curing properly but it did for previous parts of the service
      😍 hope this helps!
