  • On Wild Cities - Galway, the first in a four part nature documentary series about the wildlife in our cities, presenter John Lusby tells us about his own experiences with Galway's otters who are now an integral part of the city.
Wild Cities - Galway, RTÉ One, Sunday, May 8th at 6.30pm
Wild Cities reveals the huge array of wild animals who share our urban landscape but largely go unnoticed. While an urban fox hunts for food on a dark Dublin street; badgers sneak into a Belfast garden for jam sandwiches; herring gulls raise their chicks on a rooftop of Dublin’s O’Connell Street; salmon leap the weir in Galway; grey herons beg for scraps at the English Market in Cork; and seals bask on the shores of Belfast Lough, prepare to be amazed by the life going on around us.
