Even not using an F1 car, the motor sports playlist with cars like the mclaren f1, Dodge Viper 2003 race car, etc is super fun to do. Feels like gran turismo and needing to actually change your tires is really cool

I tried my wheel when the beta first came out and it was the best time ever with the wheel
It's not distance based on tire wear, i mean partially yes, but the less you hard brake, or send smoke in corners, the longer they last, i did manage one race to go 3 laps without tire wear flashing, but i decided not to push it past 2 anymore after that.

Also, you kept sliding out because of your habit of flooring it out of every turn. The racing cars are extremely sensitive so you should be easy on the acceleration out of each sharp turn

First person using the wheel seems to react more 1:1 in this game. Seems like the third person view on the wheel feels like the input is delayed a bit. drifting in 1st person is way better on a wheel and it feels pretty good

Pants.. F1 driver's are not a solo thing.. they rely on their crew to win, without them things just wouldn't go well, same as any other discipline of racing, and you know it. (yes i know you're joking around, lol)

if u havent played enough, GT3 cars usually turn at lower speeds. If u go hard on them, u will spin out

23:18 I don't know if the game simulates tire temperatures, but if it does, that would explain why you would spin so much in that mode. If you cook your tires in a sim racer like iRacing or ACC, your next corner is going to have less grip, so perhaps the tire wear indicator is kinda misleading because they don't give you a temperature indicator?
Kind of neat if they do that, it adds another level of tire management to the game, but maybe that's too much for an arcade racer because the tiniest tire lockup or slide can ruin a lap if that's the case, BUT it could make for some fun online racing.
nah, the Acura just has no grip after 10% tyre is gone.... this was the only event I had problems with

Fi tyres were so worn out that the car could not do that usual spin across the line. That is such a great little feature and attention detail

Mr. Pants. You do realize that the rumble strips IRL DO ALSO cause tire wear right??? Sure all pros dip onto it, especially during chicanes, but it does still cause more tire wear than following the legit racing line on tracks. Rumble strips can take chunks out of slicks because they're so pliable under extreme conditions.

i really wish the “no nitro” option turned off nitro for the opponents as well. this playlist actually felt good on 5/5 difficulty, the ai nitro is hilariously overtuned normally

Yeah I gave up with the wheel on this game I couldn't sync my brakes either pedal was so hard ro press to even start braking. Thrustmaster TG2 wheel with T-LCM pedals. Anyone have any suggestions let me know 😂 returned to pad for this game now.

NO Pants, you do not own that Alpha from Crew 2, I'm pretty sure it's new to TCM. It and the RB18 You get from the end. There is an IT Alpha in Crew 2, but not this one, i don't think.

@2:38 I have a handbrake for my G920 wheel on PC but, if it is plugged in with the wheel, the car doesn't move...just burns out or goes in reverse automatically. Some sort of glitch. Anyone else have an issue with a handbrake on PC?

Lol the tire wear mechanic is too simple and after the first race it's clear you shouldn't be below 50% wear for very long and pit early if you have the time. I personally really enjoy that mechanic
You don't need to pit until it's blinking red and flashing the go to pit warning, the game wants you to pit at 75% wear when the meter turns yellowish green but it's completely manageable until the bar is dark orange turning red if you can't control it on anything lower than 50% wear it literally is a skill issue
Are the pro settings same as in the crew 2?
If you're doing steering wheel vids, do 'em with extra cams showing you steering and pushing the pedal like AR12 or Jimmy Broadband do

Thrustmaster Belt driven one is pretty good but fanatec offers a decent priced direct drive wheel for a few hundred dollars
