Why everyone should ride a Kawasaki KX500 two-stroke at least once...

The sound, the smell, the vibes.. it's old-school all the way with the awesome, old-school Kawasaki KX500. The only production Japanese 500 to come with a power valve, the mean green machine is like nothing else on the planet.

Im 58 and have a 86 kx 500 i love riding it so much power and torque, love the way you sit into the bike and not on top of it, seat is so comfortable and makes it nice to ride i get lots of nice comments about it

I used watch Jeff ward kick ass on a kx500. Used wonder how does he ride it. Five foot six 135 pounds. I was that size on a 80.

I had an early 00's KX500, it was such a blast. I used it for single track mainly and you rarely had to shift it because 3rd would do everything.

I'm 70 have kx 500 set up for desert haven't ridden it for a long time i should get rid of it but i just can't

I wish Kawasaki would have followed suit with their 500s in the 90s. Don’t get me wrong the outdated 500 looked good but it would have looked so much better in a square perimeter framed chassis with better plastics.

If I had an extra kx500'engine I'd put it in my 1st gen atc250r. Mount radiator like 82 yz250 on front forks.
