Love your video very much. Just started at nursery for non speaking students ages. 3,4. Can you give me some tips as how can I engage my students to learn new language? sometimes I feel that I am loosing control on them😬😢. Shall I speak there language too to enable them to understand me more? Any advice from will be very helpful. Thank you
Thank you for your comment! No, do not use their first language in class. As soon as you do they will know you speak their language and not focus on you when you are speaking in English. They learn so quickly from you, not just what you are teaching but also from all the metalanguage you use. Play lots of fun games and activities using English - at that age you cannot "teach" in the school sense, you "play" with your students and they pick up English as they go. Keep trying and you'll be amazed how quickly they pick things up. Good luck!

Yes, it can be really scary first time! But it will be really rewarding, don't worry! Follow this lesson, have lots of fun with your students, smile a lot and play with them. If they are having fun, the lesson will go well. Good luck!
