Cyborgs were from the first Helldivers, half human half machine. In Helldivers 2, they're called the Automatons. Fully machined. Great video still🎉🎉🎉

there is a new faction coming though.
The Automatons in HD2 were created by Cyborgs from the first game. Cyborgs are currently in camps and their creations are trying to free them. Similarly the Termids were put into industrial farms for their 'oils' that's necessary for the interstellar travel and they broke out of the farms.

As someone who DID play the original Helldivers, the sequel is basically the same game just from a different camera angle, but that's fine because the original game was amazing and so is the new one.
Helldivers 2 is much better so far

All of the cons in this video are either fixed or soon to be fixed, they just updated the servers to hold 700’000 players, on top of that a new faction is being hinted, and mechs are already confirmed. As well as new enemies. Considering the game has been out for like 2 weeks is already insane. I can only imagine how great this game will be once it hits the 3 month mark
To add to that, I haven't had many issues joining randoms. I'll just get the occasional player who will take my stuff if I die or some players may run off and do their own thing.

You forgot to mention how breathtaking the game is at times, just walking around feels like a movie and I won't even talk about the times you get swarmed by insects
“For those of you born in the 2000s.” I was born in 2002 and have seen all the Starship Troopers movies. The original was 1997, it’s not that much older than me. But even with that, my parents grew up in the 60s and I grew up with what little they had.
Fun thing to add, that if you complete all of the main objectives and you die while out of reinforcements, you still win, but you lose on extraction bonus and all the samples you collected.
Also i would love a deep rock galactic crossover with this game, you technically fighting same enemies.
In both games:
Bugs = Original main threat
Robots = mysterious, probably bigger threat
That already happens, if you were to destroy all eggs and died without extracting you still win the mission, you just don't get your samples or extra xp for extracting

Oh yeah. Although on tough missions, we knew how to dig a hole and create a chokepoint, and then blew them to bits. It'll be harder to pull that off in Helldivers... and in DRG, we had Molly. Whatever we did, we still had Molly. Anyway. I should get going. Molly is waiting for me. Rock and stone!!!

Idk if this has been commented, but enemy variety gets better as you push into home planets of enemies, similarly to HD1
Macro! I have been carving the path for democracy and DOING MY PART since yesterday, and have made a HUGE (0.000026%) IMPACT on liberaty!
My favorite stratagem has to be the minefield because it absolutely MOWS down enemies in the 'kill enemies' missions. Its also just satisfying
Minefield: kill your enemies fast, and your friends even faster!
I once had a game session that took many hours but my squad alone got (0.5%) on the most recent major order
I love all the different possible play styles. when playing solo, i play this game like a stealth game, sneaking around and silently taking down enemies on the objective. It's super fun on the hardest difficulties because of the number of armored enemies makes open combat a poor choice. It's so satisfying to ghost through an objective without being noticed.

It's a ton of fun, however one thing I am starting to see at higher levels is everyone is starting to mainly use the same loadout. Railgun, personal shield, orbital laser, and 500k bomb. I kind of what them to nerf them a bit and perhaps add something to incentivize picking different stratagems
They really need to balance this game (and I feel like they will - just a matter of when). Because the difference between the best loadouts and the worst ones is MASSIVE.
@MrBones105 yeah the gun loadouts aren't too bad balance wise but the stratagems can make or break a mission. Fighting higher levels against bots and not having the orbital laser or 500kg bomb and the personal shield (or at least the guard dog) is just suicide. The railgun is also just so much better at dispatching hulks chargers and bile titans than any other option that it also kinda becomes a must pick
To anyone who hasn’t, watch Starship Troopers. Genuinely a great movie.
So that's why I've been feeling like I've seen this game before when I first saw it.
I entirely forgot I had watched starship troopers years ago, and seeing this game suddenly made every detail of what happened in the movie come back to me.
I'm really hope that this Helldivers 2 coming to the Switch 2 next year ❤. I'm really hooked more in Helldivers than Palworld
Broooo, this looks sick! I hope they do events where the universe gets shaken up, like enemy factions dominate a certain amount of the map and they bring in iconbosses, there are so many ideas running through my head of how it can be so cool, I just hope it'll be looked after and has a long life span
the gameplay loop is precisely what i want in a party shooter. the solo is a bit rough and could use some attention, but i am lucky enough to have at least one other person to play with, and the few randos ive dealt with have actually been smart and tactful in thier own gameplay and i have had a grand ole time.
As a person Born in 2004 not watching Starship Troopers is a crime. I remember my dad showed me this mouvie to make me calm down a little on military kink... little that he knew I was all in immediately LOL. Still love that mouvie
That’s the thing about satire. There will ALWAYS be some people who embrace the subject of the satire rather than (as the author usually intends) reject it.
Managed Democracy is like regular democracy, except Super Earth has taken the liberty of picking your vote for you to simplify the process! So easy!
Also, idk if it's exactly the same, but HD1 scaled difficulty the more people in the squad - you'd see enemies that normally only showed up at higher difficulties, for example.

Grenade launcher is by far my favourite stratagem and really good for solo missions
Depends on difficulty and bugs/automoton world, but i often use shield backpack whenever i choose mid/hard difficulties on automatons and guard dog on mid difficulty bugs, shield backpack on extreme and above. Ofc not going without laser and often use 500kg bomb (only if you got the extra upgrade on module that costs super samples)

My favorite strategem has to be the guard dog with the rifle.
I haven't tried the laser one yet because laser weapons seem to be a bit weak against anything higher than a grub

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the "spectating your corpse" bug happens if your corpse is disturbed or moved by things like explosions. Don't know if that's the only factor, but that's what usually happens for me.
Gotta say orbital Lazer is my favorite stratagem because its really cool and great for clearing out threats to our way of life

8:59 - That message means the host kicked you, but it doesn't mean you did anything wrong. There's just no "disband squad" option at the moment, so if the host wants to chill alone for whatever reason, they gotta kick you.

i played the first one and im so happy the second one is doing so well
I played solo last night and did a rescue the survivors mission, I completed all 30 in the last 30 seconds, I was so relieved I got it
Never played this before but from the gameplay im feeling some earth defense force type gameplay. It looks like a lot of fun too
I play this game fully leaned in yo the democracy aspect with what I like to call the America build. Heavy armor, 3 airstrike stratagem, an MG or explosive weapon, and a Destroyer named the distributor of independence
The illuminates are coming, they’ve teased it already but we honestly don’t have good enough laser weapons to deal with them
My favourite strategum is definetly the eagle strike naipalm becuase its so OTT and cool especially against bugs

Started playing Friday and have never had server issues.
From how you described it, the gameplay loop seems really similar to fortnite save the world but without the building or farming, it has the same flaws that you described too excluding the server issue

If you are new load up mal something creek its a easy start. I also think that other game should give us the dive as well
Nothing prepares you for a full squad using both mortar and EMS mortars firing 12 shells per volley. Nothing like turning half the battlefield into slow fields and the other half into explosions.

For the "You've been kicked from game" isn't a server thing. That's the host of the mission manually kicking you from the lobby.
