I have used Chorderator for years to find chords in different positions. It has other instruments also. Really easy, type the chord you want then start playing. Thanks Chris I’m going to try some of those apps.

I have an Android phone but bought an iPad on sale at Costco because a Railroad picture book I wanted wasonly available in Apple format. So I'll try that Apple music. I use the Ultimate Tab Pro on computer only because I can't see that on my phone. I use CZcams and the Tony's Acoustic Challenge for some lessons. Tony Polecastro explains what he's doing in sufficient detail to where you don't have to see what he's doing. That's needed if you cannot see.
I have a number of these apps already but just want to say they your CZcams videos are great. From vids like this one to guitar demonstrations and comparisons they’re great. Keep it up. If I lived in Texas I’d come in and talk to you direct. Thanks.
iStroboSoft tuner... I love the format. Costs a few bucks to purchase but well worth it in my opinion. It's replaced all of my other tuners (mando, violin, guitar) that I used to keep in cases and I stopped using the other apps I had experimented with. So iStroboSoft is the last one standing for me. Thank you for that Apple Music backing track tip, I had never considered that!!
My 16 yr old son is my goto, because he's been playing guitar for 4 years. And he knows way more than i do. In life, in politics, in apps, and video games, in guitar playing. So! Years ago when I had bought a bass guitar at a pawn shop out of sheer randomness, I thought eh why not, the guitar and the amp cost $35 in total and restringed it. Instead of looking up lessons on how to properly play I had looked up how to play the bass portions of Gorillaz "Feel Good Inc". In 3 days time I had already mastered playing it but if you asked me which chords were needed to play I wouldn't have been able to answer it, I just learned how to play the song by looking at it visually though eventually I had decided to properly learn but didn't last very long. Fast forward some 12-14 years later I just bought a brand new Epiphone Pro-1 Dreadnought because my electric guitar is in ruins and needs a complete rebuild and I somehow lost my bass guitar. Figured an acoustic would just be a better option. Needless to say I basically forgot how to play so I've been looking around for some of the easiest tutorials on how to play again. Can still read -some- notes but I'm struggling alittle more than I thought i would. I was far more used to playing with 4 strings than 6.

HI I am a beginner, my tutor send me a video so that I could listen and watch him playing his guitar. Sheet music is not helpful. So, what would you recommend me so that I could listen and watch his video and try to play along side with a tablet?. I even put title on his video so that it could help me to pick his video and practise. And yes, I need to listen and watch with a headphone, so that I could practise in silent. My tutor recommended a a steel string guitar with an inbuilt microphone, it looks like an "Ovation" So, I could plug in something and play along. thanks

Man, I am enjoying the videos on acoustic guitar. I have been flipflopping on either Orangewood or Yamaha but really want a torrified guitar . You guys don't have orangewood but there is a Yamaha FSX800C for sale. Though this Yamaha is not torrified I am trying to get PUSHED over the edge to get it. It's on sale! Come on, convince me to get the Yamaha. Hahaha.
I just bought an Orangewood jumbo live. It’s incredible sound. I am completely happy with the purchase. It is beautiful, the action is right on, the sound is great, the strings that came with it were decent and the depth of the body sound was very very rich.
Would love to see a comparison between Martin and Taylor 12 fret guitars. There seems to be a huge difference in the approach these two companies take and in how they are designed.

He wants a electric like Ibanez beginner metal head style . I live way out in a little town . The closest major city is over 2 hour drive . So it's hard to get this guitar swapped for a thin necked electric. Small amp

I've messed with Amplitube, JamUp Pro, Bias, and others, but landed on Yonac's ToneStack. For my guitar rig, I'm playing a Variax 500 through a Line6 HD500 (just upgraded to a Helix LT and haven't gotten my tones set up over there yet) over the Variax cable. This powers the guitar and leaves an analog jack available to run a second signal chain through an Ernie Ball volume pedal, then a RockSmith RealTone cable, USB to Lightning dongle, and into the iOS device. I take the headphone out of the HD500 and out of my iPad Air and route them into a Yamaha MG10XU mixer on stage with me. My HD500 tone is a bluesy crunchy tone using the Fender Les Paul model on the Variax and a Bassman amp model in the HD500. On the ToneStack side, I run more of the lush reverb and delay effects through a couple "Bristol City" amp models (Vox AC15C1 BRG clone), and I can mix and match tone with the two volume pedals. Other apps include the PolyTune app from TC Electronic, Tempo Advance (really full-featured metronome), DrumJam (beats to play along with), Hey Metronome (drum tracks at your specified tempo, plus you can tell it what to play and keep your hands on your pick and fretboard!). Then there's Soft Pads, AutoPad, and djay Pro with ambient pad mp3 backing tracks that can set a key and let you improv over (also works great for worship settings).
I play a Takamine but it's made in Taiwan it's a good guitar that sounds good but it doesn't feel good really I mean I put lighter strings on it really made it play better now you sell Martin guitars what do you suggest as a good player I don't want to spend thousands but I want to go to town and I'll probably my price range is 700

I tried numerous other apps and not a single one was close to this one. Free version works only for low E and A strings, 5 dollars paid once unlock the other string. Functional Ear Trainer (iOS and Android) Having a good ear is a must for musicians. With this app you can train it really well for free. Just need to practice for 5-10 minutes every day and you will be very surprised how good you'll become in 3-4 months. It worked well for me and my brother and I'm pretty sure it will work for you too.

I've had "SmartChord" for a couple of years and it keeps getting better and better. Great app IMO.
SmartChord has become my on the go cheat sheet. The ability to plug in whatever tuning I want then pull up a fretboard chart is super helpful.

The Chordinator Augmented app is great. I have also using it for years.

The Chord ai app is also amazing at getting accurate chords and voicings for pretty much any song.
