Widebody the cab, with rally fenders, so it has fenders over the front wheels, then fenders in rear, with big ass rally mud flaps all around? ....Oldschool Hella rally lighting on top.... It'll look like a tiny rally raid/Dakar, or Safari truck.

The amount of progress you guys make in a single video is staggering. Some channels would stretch this one episode into months of incremental progress. But you guys knock it out in record time, and I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate that fact.
Yeah, the speed that Ethan works at is incredible. It shows his knowledge and comfort with metal fab. The turnaround time on these projects is nuts.
It's bitter sweet to me. It satisfies my adhd and want to see the awesome factor but I also love how indepth some other channels show you.

I mean it is clear that this project was done over weeks if not months. The boys probably just decided that doing big singular episodes work better with their audience.
I'd guess if you have more videos labelled "Ep. 26" or thereabouts random non-subbed viewers have less incentive to click on it. Also iirc in recent times CZcams changed something in their pay system, favouring long real life videos.

@@crippledproductions2194 The Acty Crawler is 6x4. The middle axle wasn't powered and was just there to wrap the treads around. There's a recent video of an Acty Crawler fire truck where the seller goes under the truck and shows the axles/suspension. Now, whether or not adding the treads can be considered powering the middle axle is a debate...

I've said it before but I'll say it again. Thanks for being an engineering/mechanic/automotive channel that isn't all macho/bravado based. There's no weird american flag crap, there's no scammy bro-brands, there's no being weirdly proud to be a rural person(i say that as a rural person), and there's no weird ego crap. It's just some folks having a blast in their shop making a silly project. I appreciate it.

I really liked the way you and @ebaymotors sort of broke the 4th wall, but more showed us into the involvement they have with the videos.
It was only 2 minutes at the end but it was different!
Will's dream was my reality. A couple of years ago I had my phone in my back pocket, slipped and landed on a rock. Cracked and completely bent a phone I had only had for like two months. XD

@Grind Hard Plumbing Co Its honestly impressive. I'm sure this one will become a fun truck to have around. I've been meaning to get back in the garage and finish my own projects. Seeing what you guys can accomplish with what you got amazes me and honestly helps me figure out what to do when I get stuck. Often when I'm working I'll have your videos playing on the laptop and sometimes when I'm stuck you guys happen to have figured out a solution before I can. I hope you don't mind me stealing your ideas from time to time.

Love this project!!!. I had a great laugh as I recently noticed that you guys loved the word "premium" on the last video. Seeing you guys release the premium bottle opener and admitting that you love the word was... Premium.
Upgrade the suspension, add portals and give that thing a lift. Totally worth it and that 6x6 would be AWESOME
Perfect ! The perfect farm utv , honda should pair up an acty with an pioneer 1000 (lhd) drive train, heat and ac for our Canadian climate, good off road performance + load capacity, even a 4x4 version would be enough, good job guys !!!
Look at you actually adding practicality to the Polaris! A nice enclosed body. Should be a whole lot nicer when it's cold or wet than the original.
Yeah in that config it might be something to pay 30K new.. Hell if that thing was road legal here, i might even consider buying it... then again its Polaris.. price of spares went up.. its side by side.. so price went up and its road legal with Kei truck on top.. yeah it would cost around 60K and you could not get spare parts for it with out selling a kidney.
Guy i know did little suspension maintenance in his Polaris ATV.. "just" 1K€ bill in parts alone, yeah no. How ever if Mitsubishi did this.. now we are talking. Simple and reliable 6x6 using car parts that are already in production. Sadly that is not the case.
Especially if they get as far as connecting up the heater core, though that's pretty lopw priority.
Honestly, I didnt quite see it in the last episode, bc of length, footwell and so on, but now Im superimpressed by the vision and craftmanship! Keep it up!
GH Crew, I hope leaving build suggestions is ok. I love the mini trucks, especially the hard to find 90's double cabs. Crazy Idea: Upgrade a double cab mini truck engine, put double track snowmobile tracks on the back, use that wheel/ski combination they use in the Alps. 4 door, enclosed snow vehicle with heat and tunes.
Love it. Down the line you could build a sweet one-man camper.

I can visualize replacing parts on a vehicle, but I have no concept of how to look at two torn down vehicles and visualize how to combine them. Always amazed by this channel
You have the ability you just need to learn how to tap into it !
Look dimensions, look how each part operates and moves and if one does not effect negatively anything around it, it should be fine. You can also use both versions of CAD to visualize it if your spatial awareness sucks.
Amazing conversion. The funniest part of seeing this video today, was my 14yr old had just this last summer started his own lawn mowing business and he was looking at one of those small trucks and pointed it out to me. He said the moment he gets his license, he wants one so he can haul his equipment locally.
I love seeing the time-lapse and watching the suspension go up as you strip it down :)

Idk how you keep making me think "this is the greatest thing ever" over and over with builds. I know they're all unique, which makes it hard to compare them to each other. I think that's what does it. It's a constant state of we need to build a thing that does that thing better than the thing we already made. It's always taking something odd to new levels.
The odd toys are the most fun to build and drive!
I think we always want to challenge ourselves and one up our previous successes.
I enjoy coming along for the process, these guys put out thoroughly enjoyable content for all of us big kids that appreciate imagination come to life through fabrication. Plus the weird "odd" things are just more neat and less common place.

Here’s another thought 💭 guys. If it’s feasible in the future, how about another Kei truck build, but even more epic? You create a Kei truck the sits on an 8x8 chassis? Four wheel front steering, long chassis and standard Kei Truck sized bed. The gap in the middle could have spare wheels, or a mini lifting arm that can handle heavy logs 🪵 and stuff. AWD setup. Take some ideas from the game SnowRunner.

I enjoyed this video much more than the thumbnail made me expect to. The build is much more intricate than just putting a truck on top of another truck.

For what it's worth, springs get stiffer as the wire gets thicker, as the number of coils decreases, and as the diameter of the spring decreases. So, the coil you said was considerably stiffer was potentially softer. The wire was thicker, but more coils can negate that and then some.
Also, U-joints only cause eccentric motion if you have an odd number and/or they're not phased properly. A shaft with an even number of joints that are 90-degrees out of phase with their adjacent joints will not have eccentric motion. So, you likely have something binding up in that steering system.
You are a max scientist that is so cool in your own way keep it up
A trick to accurately shortening frames is to leave 2 markers using a punch fx, a precise distance from eachother on the side of your cut you plan to keep. That way you can always tell when you butt the two ends back together, if one is slightly shorter or longer than the other.
It is really cool of eBay to be doing these sponsorships.

I had a Polaris 6x6 ATV and the rear bearings went out in mine as well. I think that when you turn it puts a lot of stress on the rear axle and wears it out faster.
4:50 For some reason the dry-joining of prepped surfaces for welding is extremely satisfying.
So if a front shock comes off it will go through the seat? What a way to go.
