I don't understand any of this. Not a clue. I have no idea what this celebration is about or the last one after the days of fasting ended or what the nights of those fasting days were about. All I know is that the innocent of Gaza don't deserve to be starved, bombed and slaughtered. They deserve to have peace in safe homes, water, food, education, clothing, security and hope for bright futures. Just like everyone else. I pray that God will give them joy and rest for their souls even in the midst of the destruction around them, may peace come and hope. Amen
I'm from the U.S. and was raised Christian, so I know very little about this observance too- I believe it has something to do with the story of Abraham and Issac, when God commanded Abraham to sacrifice his son, but at the last minute a Ram appeared. The Ram was provided by God as a reward to Abraham for passing the test of his faith, and his son was spared.
Islam and Christianity share some of the same stories from what we call the Bible, and revere some of the same figures.
And yes I agree, the Palestinian people do not deserve what they have endured at the hands of zionist colonizers for over 75 years.

*The dua/dhikr for the victory of the Arab guerrilla groups: LAA HAWLA WALAA QUWWATA ILLA BILLAH. Let's recite it at least 100 times every day. It is also one of the Jannah's portals (Tirmidhi).
Hubaib bin Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him) used to recite "Laa Hawla wa Laa Quwwata illa Billaah" when facing an enemy or besieging a fortress.
It is said that one day he surrounded a fortress belonging to the Romans so that he was desperate, then the Muslim army recited the dhikr, finally the fortress was destroyed. An extraordinary experience was also told by Abu Khair, Ishaq Al Gharawi. He recounted that they were once attacked by an army with eighty elephants. As a result, their troops, including the cavalry, fell apart.
This event, Abu Khair said, made Muhammad bin Qasum panic. Seeing this condition he then recited "La Hawla wa La Quwwata Illa Billah" many times.
Shortly afterwards, the elephants suddenly scattered in search of a water source. Their handlers were unable to control the strange behaviour of their pet elephants. It turned out that Allah swt had given the elephants extreme heat and thirst.*
*Istighfar opens the door of sustenance. Saying “Astaghfirullah” (I seek forgiveness of Allah). Prophet Muhammad (SallAllahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) recited this at least 100 times a day.*
