This was EXTREMELY helpful and made my daunting task of cleaning out my garden beds that I've neglected the last 6 years so much more manageable!!!

  • @mtpestcontrolmattdavis5400

I have plastic under mulch. Should I pull plastic back before treating?

I thought after you apply weed you have to water it really well?

Why not apply Roundup to the weeds before putting the mulch down?

Can you preen and then place cardboard on top?

That was going to be my suggestion. I did that several years ago in a problem flower bed. I just put down cardboard and added a thick layer of compost on top. No weeds that year and hardly any the next!

Thanks for sharing! Wouldn’t the Preen kill the garden plants? How long did it last preventing weeds? Ty

If u use Both preen And weed prevention cloth - you'll have no issues w/weeds.....

It lasts about 6 months and it doesn't kill anything that's already growing.

How do you live knowing that there are weeds under there lol. It's like having a cracked diamond that only you know is cracked. I couldn't do it.

Great video! I’m going from mulch to rubber. Should I put down landscape fabric or preen. Btw the bed looks great.

I was advised, by Lowes, to do Both - it's been 2-yrs & I've not seen one single weed.
