When it comes to gaming performance, the GTX 1660 Ti has again shown itself. While it lacks the raw power of the RTX 20 series or newer GPUs, it nevertheless performs adequately in both recent and older titles. The 1660Ti outperforms several of its predecessors and competes with numerous similarly priced competitors. However, as games become more graphically intense, the G T X 1660 Ti may not always guarantee extreme settings at high frame rates.
Benchmarking displays the true colors of the GTX 1660 Ti. It routinely provides 60 frames per second at 1080 p and remains competitive at 1440p, however, settings may need to be changed for more demanding titles. These benchmarks demonstrate the 1660 Ti to be a consistent performer, however, it's evident that in terms of raw performance, it falls short of newer, higher-end models. Nonetheless, it's an enticing option for gamers who prefer a seamless experience over the highest visual settings.
The 1660 Ti does have one disadvantage: it does not enable hardware-based ray tracing, which is featured in Nvidia's R T X series and provides realistic lighting effects to games. It also lacks support for Deep Learning Super Sampling, Nvidia's AI-driven technique that improves speed while preserving visual fidelity. This omission may have an impact on its lifespan, particularly as additional games embrace similar advanced capabilities. This may not be a big disadvantage for people who are not very interested in cutting-edge graphics advancements.

I use gtx 1660ti 1080p still good, i use to play FF7 remake, witcher 3, resident evil village, spiderman remake, rdr 2, rise of the tomb raider, shadow of tomb raider,
I don't think this AI is ready for writing video scripts yet
I got to use this one in my 2000 series core i7 tower for a few years and I loved it with both the Windows and Linux compatibility and plugging in all those screens and just having a million things to look at all at the same time was brilliant with the compression technology I could get all the same applications as bigger computers and when I found out they were still remaking it with more GRAM years later I knew that this thing was going to be it permanently for me it has all the power you need to run your home and you could tow the memory practically out of the state!
If you want a GTX card I would say the GTX 1080ti is better more VRAM and still holds up today, even though it's nearly 7 years old and it's not much more than a 1660ti on the used market. People are going to start flooding the used market with cheap 1080ti's as the 4080 s / ti will be releasing soon and people are looking to upgrade.
Indeed i also have been eyeing the 1080ti especially because of that sweet 11Gb of Vram
The only down side is that it is getting old and Nvidia may stop supporting it soon
I would suggest a 2070 super albeit it has less ram but is a little more capable than a 1080ti and is just 20$ more on the used market
@@KingdomRepublic I would suggest the 2070 super only if you really want the goodies that come with RTX. (like dlss, bla bla bla) The 1080ti is actually very close in performance, but it has more VRAM.
@@KingdomRepublic1080ti technically outperforms the 2070 super you’ll need to jump up to a 2080ti or a 3060ti to out perform
I'm not worried about RTX shaders etc, so the GTX 1660TI OC (with some extra oc tweaks) is just fine for me. Runs BG3 just fine, and I'm an old school gamer, so it is perfect for my needs. Paired with core I-7 and 16gb ran and m2 ssd, pretty peppy.
I recently upgraded from 1050Ti to Used 1660 Ti for $120 and I think I'll be using it for few more years. It does keep up with my 1080p medium to high settings gaming.
I have one of these and i only get 60ps at 1080 , also use game boost in my bios idk what to do
I have a 1050 ti this seems to be a pretty good upgrade especially that i was able to get one for $150
Go for an RX 6600 / RX 6650 XT instead. i own a gtx 1660ti since 2019 its actually is a great card, NGL. But for the same price u might get an RX 6600 in 2024.
For the same price? Are you good bro😂
I still use it for video editing works goods!
yea GTX 1660 is still pretty good probs i mean my gtx 1650 is still working pretty well
Same bro
Performance will improve if you upgrade your RAM.
AI youtuber 👎
I have gtx 1660 ti and Im surprised how bad it handles the new MW on native 1920x1080
What cpu you have? I also ran cod on a 1660ti and it was in general a pretty stable experience at 1080p
@d8l835 i7 12700K it ran only stable on low setting but not more than that. I got a 4060ti now.
I be getting 30 + fps on 4k native on modern gaming with this beast
Wow nice!
30 isn't good, though...? It's a bit subpar.
@@SennySPM These days 30 is pretty bad.
@@SennySPMI mean, 30 is decent if you're playing slower games like rdr2 or something.
But 1080p you should always run 60fps at least.
I can recommend the 1660, I used it for about 4 years now and could not complain for that price it's decent although nowadays I'd just get a 4070 or a 4060 if you're a on a budget. I play on big resolutions and the 1660 Ti just can't handle it anymore.
What intel cpu would u recommend
I have a 1660ti with a ryzen 5 5600g and am thinking about upgrading to a 3060ti thoughts?
Maybe upgrade to a 4600 ti?
@@provocation18 thats so much money......
"it contain less power than it's more powerful equivalent"
lots to unpack here
AI crap
The only GTX card you should get in 2023 is the GTX 1080 Ti. I have seen brand new GTX 1080 Ti's sell for less than 350 USD on eBay. So, considering how much vRam you get for the price it is a great deal. The GTX 1660 Super is still an absolute king in terms of power efficiency though, as the 1080 Ti is not very good in terms of power efficiency
i got a 1660ti free on reddit
GTX 1080 Ti uses TOO much wattage.
But since you have to get a larger PSU that means when you do want to upgrade in the future you arent limited. So I find that a benefit too@@MatiX415
GTX 1660 ti is more power efficient than 1660 super tho

A GTX 1080ti might be a better option since it has 11Gb of Vram and is usually the same price as a 1660ti but the 1080ti is older by 2 years and Nvidia may stop supporting it with updates within a year or two
If you want something slightly more recent i suggest the RTX 2070 super which is usually around a 180$ (20$ more than a 1080ti) on the used market
The 2070 super is a little more capable than a 1080ti albeit with less ram
While Nvidia could be the greedy company they are and drop support whenever they want, they still currently support the 780ti so there's that.
where the hell you can buy 1080 ti same price at 1660 ti? cause I will surely buy one.. but since this is non existent Id be dreaming.
@ShadowMonarchOfficial as far i know in the US market the 1080ti goes about 160 to 200$ while the 1660ti goes for about 170 to 200$
lmao AI youtuber, bye bye
