Imagine, back in the 50's, you are walking from Queens Road along Rochdale Road to Charlestown Road, up one side and back down the other, to Conran Street.
Wow.... thanks... grew up in mosron, used to do swimming at harpurhey (peter carr great instructor) and used to look st the bikes across at Ray Mgraths shop.... great memories, great places. Shame the place has gone downhill. 60s it was a lovely place to be
They say that smell is the most powerful sense to link you to your past. That may be so but this certainly did it for me. I walked all of the route, in part and in total at one time or another. It took me back to my childhood and youth. Thanks
wow my parents were from Priam street ,as a kid (I'm 64 now) remember getting the bus to Middleton with my Mum and Dad down Rochdale Road, remember the pubs even though I didn't go in them, Stiles Funeral Services and the fabulous houses leading down to Bogart Hole Clough, happy memories
What a fantastic trip down memory lane. Thank you
