As many concerts they've played these songs on, I still keep coming back to this video, with crappy sounc quality and all. What I like about it is the crowd experiencing new songs for the first time. It is something sqecial. The audience hadn't heard these songs (save for MAdness and Survival) before. At the other concerts, people had heard the songs already.
This new album is just awesome!
First live, and they're already rocking!
Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow *-* Panic station and Explorers are my favourite ones, but it's so hard to decide!!!! Omg they're magnific! I love them!!
I thought I'd post a comment with when the various songs starts. Makes it much easier to skip a song or two.
1- Animals 0:00
2- Follow Me 4:32
3- Madness 8:16
4- Panic Station 12:45
5- Save Me 16:05
6- Supremacy 21:48
7- Survival 26:45
A lot of the songs sound like they're gonna be hits in the charts, and for people who have only just heard of muse via 2nd law... you've missed out on A LOT.
Enjoy the beauty inside of it, feel your 2nd law, mention it's amazing trace.
I like The 2nd Law album before it is released ... AWESOME CONCERT !
This song is so GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD I will use it on my channel playlist!
I am glad you pointed that out. man that is awesome sounding.
Even Dom can testify to that. I recall reading in some interview somewhere in the beginning before the 2nd law album, that he was excited that there was lots of music experimentation and it reminded him of OOs.
Love them all!!!!
Wouldn't go to see them live again, but nice to hear the voice again.Even though I am a bit disappointed about the new songs...
Supremacy is definetly my favorite song so far its like like knights of cydonia mixed with citizen erazed SO COOL!
oh Madness live sounds cool, with the whole crowd singing!
Nothing from Showbiz and Hullabaloo. I hope those two albums haven't been retired from future set lists.
Plug in Baby is from Origin of Symmetry.
And don't cry, it's just the first gig, like a test for new songs ;)
Seriously? Who cares that the album is 'supposed to be about the world collapsing'... This is a music album, it should be about the music. When it comes down to the greatness of the music, songs like Panic Station and Animals meet and exceed their standards. These songs are ones that incorporate stuff from their old albums but take new stuff and create greatness. I love Muse for the fact that their music continues to work using crazy sounds and they mix them together to create an amazing sound.
Loved the first one!! :D
thanks for this!
Supremacy is ultra COOOL!
I agree, especially with the higher parts, but it was great!
Fucking...proud. Muse, go forth and lead the way to inspire. Always.
Can't wait to listen to BIG FREEZE and LIQUID STATE.
it doesn't suck
chris was just really nervous, wait for the album version :)
They tried something new? I see nothing wrong with it. Not every album you will like. I personally love the new stuff. But I still think Muse is one of the greatest bands out there, and who knows what they will do next! Always make new creative things in their music. So unique :D
long live Origin of Symmetry!!!!!!!
None of these songs can beat any song from Absolution or any other album. I hope they make a comeback in a couple of years because this is nothing.
fucking excellent. So pleased we could finally get to listen to some more material. Tour is going to massive. Setlist looks sublime. BRING IT ON !!
yeah I love it too
yes.. i love it, makes the drumbeat kinda relaxing, doesnt it?
I think what Sportsguy was saying is that the direction of their music is moving much more into a electronic type of sound. This is not a "rock" by traditional Muse standards. There was always effects on guitars throughout all their albums but that signature "dark" and "desparate" soul in the music is missing. I want to say that it's like they were trying to separate from their previous sound but have alienated their audience.
I'm just going to ignore all these nagtive comment because I think that these are a collection of some of the best Muse songs ever written, it's a change, but in this case, change is good. I'm proud :'). I've been brought up listening to Muse so I do know them pretty well, I think this is great, yes I am slightly biased, but i genuinly think that this is great. And whoever recorded this is one lucky dude!....or chick
I really like hos different the snogs are!
They played Madness like 2 weeks ago, in an Stockholm show.
Also, sorry for the obnoxiously long post but just felt like giving the album a review here.
LEGEND!!! :))
Why are people so obsessed with Muse going back to an OOS sound. They are maturing as musicians.
From the first 30 seconds of Animal I knew I was gonna love this album.
If Muse and the recorders are to be the only ones credited than there was no point in crediting the blog and facebook group either.
All I have to say is, where would Muse be if they stuck to the same sound as OOS or even Absolution.. they would be where they were, they have evolved and thus making them branch out to more people around the world.
Plus people are always wondering what new stuff they will come up with, this creates curiousity and therefore making people wait around.
So I keep seeing comments that basically say "Muse, why oh why can't your new album be more like your old ones," well time changes right? You could love chocolate everyday but one day its going to get dull and u gonna try something new. (Srry for the bad analogy) We don't have the power to control Muse to make songs that we want to hear based on previous songs. If we did, then Muse will be like puppets playing solely for our amusement. They're Gods and they can do whatever they like
I love follow me ♥ an all the other ones too!!!!! xd
I actually enjoy madness live in comparison to the album track. I think muse is indeed the kind of band that has some songs that shine a lot better live than in the album. It just feels more energetic live
SAVE ME
muse performed live in Cologne, Germany (people recorded it)
i agree with you.. it lacked stadium guitar riffs like knights of cyodnia, plug in baby, citizen erased etc. even on resistance they had mk ultra which had a great riff.. on this album you can't find that.. as far as the lyrics goes, it's kind of in second plan i think.. for example "survival" is so cheesy lyricaly, i can't think of it like a motivational song, its more like a mockery.. but matt and guys seem to find a way to make a song fun that you don't need to relate to lyrics, just music
I don't know why everyone hates this album so much. I personally think it's AMAZING. I have loved literally every single thing Muse has done, and that's a hard thing for a band to do. Matt is just such an amazing guitarist, composer, songwriter, it just blows my mind. Panic Station is easily one of my favorite Muse songs....ever.
I undertand, "They are maturing as musicians", but I miss their inmature music!!!!!!!!
More of the songs need to be like Supremacy.
On a side note, does that song sound like a bit like the songs off of OoS?
Because that gives hope for them next time.
I'll light the foooo and i'll never looooooo :D
Falling Down, Hate This And I Love You, Escape, Screenager, Hoodoo, Soldier's Poem, Falling Away With You, Endlessly, Starlight, Sing For Absolution, Undisclosed Desires, Guiding Light...
Is that enough about "slow" ones ?
"Credits to: Muse News Blog (en español) & Museketeers (fb)" seriously? I made this and I made the artwork.
I was refering to muse when I said three people. You know..? The people that wrote the songs and performed them... And yes they stole your picture and file... they need to change the description to: Credit goes to muse. Video put together by Fabri.
Dude Survival sounds a lot better without the stompy choir stuff! Whatever they did instead really makes the song better in my opinion.
thx :)
Yea, it does seem as if Matt is trying to be more like Hans Zimmer than a front man of a space-rock band. Well, I'm gonna stop bitchin' now, I still got their first 5 albums to listen to that I still really enjoy and if people really enjoy this album, all power to them. I will be looking forward to their next release in 3 or 4 years.
I....really like Panic Station :D
Supremacy sounds like deftones and Bowie made some kind of hardcore space baby. Generally the songs are decent but I'm not sure how cohesive the album will be, the tone seems to shift constantly. I still miss the heavy riffs and orchestral stuff from OoS and Absolution. Maybe one day I will get that heavy album I've been waiting for since Black Holes. Still excited as hell though.
Animals sounds so good!!!
oh... didn't see it :/ do you have a link to a video of it?
it's not a deception, it's a good song and I liked it.....at least in my opinion
Well actually animals sounds like it couldn't have been from that era considering the fact that the song has many similarities it tone and melody with screenager.
my view/your view.
It's not like they were regular even on the last tour.
Oh my godness, Panic Station is incredible, funky awesome thing
opinions are different. tastes are different. men are different.
PANIC STATION IS INCREDIBLE
JUST INCREDIBLE, i dont know why the people complained so much, this album have alot of Origin of Symetry (Supremacy, Animals, Liquid State, for example), more than The Resistance...
THIS IS THE BEST ALBUM AFTER ORIGIN OF SYMETRY AND ABSOLUTION!
GENIAL !!!! QUE INICIE EL TOUR para verlos ( desde mexico )
Is that Chris singing in the song Save Me??? :O :O :O
there will be no more hysteria
people that clap their hands without rhythm.. maybe I'm only envious!
thanks god.. Stpckholm syndrome is still in setlist
Chris has a good voice lol
wow, panic station is brilliant. It doesn't sound like anything muse have done ever before, wow.
xD ok... so i have to wait till release xD
MUCHAS GRACIAS!!!
Really fabri? The credit should go to you? hmmm... I think there is someone we are missing... actually 3 people...
lyrics should tell a certain story, express feelings not just to stand there to fulfill the space.. and the orchestra and the choir are there just to make it grandiose, nothing more.. i wonder if matt can write a quiet song with minimal or no arrangements.. maybe just acoustic and one voice
supremacy and panic station are amazing cant wait to hear them on the album, the other songs are kind of slow for muse
if it's officially announced that adel got chosen over muse for the opening skyfall credits, mgm reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaally fucked up.
Audio muffled bass :( why, sound editor guy, why
Is Animals in 5/4 signature? *_*
seems like Madness is the only deception..
but but... who would want to skip a song? D:
It's not doin' it for me anymore, loved the first 4 albums (Resistance was cool too) but the 2nd Law is not for me. It pains me that they don't want to do rock music any more, they'd rather be U2-Queen cover band. I appreciate the many years of enjoyment that Matt and the gangs music have brought me and wish them all the luck in their future endeavors but can't get into their new sound (except here and there). It was a good run, and again I'm grateful. Thank you Muse.
muse tiene la capacidad de volverme locaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
MMM yeah i think the disc dont have a great composicion of guitar and that but woaw i still like it.
I knew that you were talking about Muse, but my point is different. Nevermind
I really loved the Resistance. But I really, really hate this album. I really do. And I agree with you.
lol does your comment even have sense? There's no point in giving credits to "Muse News Blog & Museketeers", if they didn't do anything. Not that I did a lot, but at least I used one hour of my life gathering the videos and putting them together (I used two videos for each song).
save me chris :$
What about Plug In Baby?
And there're not the choirs !
weeeell..idk..but i tend to skip madness and survival cuz the crowd sings and makes the songs less audible (even though this is live so it is to be expected)xd also, if you want to hear a song one more time xD but i know what you mean.. no song by muse is really worth skipping every time..theyre too good
Ok...I got a leaked copy of the album and here's my opinion on each song.
Supremacy- The best song on the album and heaviest (which might be a bad thing because it doesn't get heavier from here)
Madness- Not a fan, never was, too poppy.
Panic Station- Pretty cool song, like SMBH and Undisclosed funky love child.
Prelude+Survival- I love the prelude but the good guitar work is ruined by the lyrics an choir for me.
To be continued...
madness wasn't live debut?
go to Newalbumreleases . net and a zip file will be under the Rapidgator link.
pls give me the link for liquid state
Falto el vídeo.
