4VEP 3417 Return to the Mainline - 27th January 2024

The Southern Electric Traction Group C.I.Cs Class 423 4VEP unit no. 3417 (TOPS 423417) ‘Gordon Pettitt’ ventured out on to the mainline for the first time in years; albeit sandwiched by GBRf 73119 and 73109. This worked 5Z73 Strawberry Hill CSD to London Waterloo and 5Z74 London Waterloo to Strawberry Hill CSD in celebration of Gordon Pettitt's 90th birthday! First we see 5Z73 on a footbridge near Barnes before seeing 5Z74 return through Wandsworth Town.
