    I just wanted to let you know that I got my boat running today thanks to your videos. I had to rebuild the low pressure pump due to a collapsed gasket and replace the high pressure pump cause it stopped pumping. But when I turned the key tonight and I heard that high pressure pump kick on I just knew it was going to start. Cranked for maybe 1.5 seconds and lit up like a beast. Thanks for the videos, they were a huge help.

      I’ve been trying to diagnose what’s going on with mine. Runs great at idle but in gear it won’t get up on plane, loses power and tries to bog down. I plan on replacing the high pres pump and low pres pump and seeing if that resolves anything. Already replaced voltage regulators because they were burnt up.

    • @PrestigeWorldwideFishing
      @PrestigeWorldwideFishing  Před 5 měsíci

      @ryanlogue3029 before you do that, watch my voltage regulator video and make sure yours doesn’t do what mine did first.
      Sounds more like you have a stator issue… for your sake I hope it is. Mine was ECU issue.
      Fuel pump issue usually means your motor will just shut off not bog down. Email me if you want, would be happy to help you diagnose and avoid spending a bunch of money.

    Hi, i have 1996 v200 efi mercury. Im having similar issues with my motor. My motor will start but will shut off after about 1 min. I have to pump the primer bulb to get it started again. It will die again if i dont continue to pump the primer bulb. So far i have rebuilt the low pressure fuel pump, new fuel pick up, new primer bulb and new fuel/water seprator fillter. Im running out of options. Im wondering if the high pressure pump has anything to do with my issue? Maybe the regulator? Also, i plan to start with just the strainer that is attached to the fuel pump since my fuel pump is $900 dollars. What other gaskets or seals will i need to replace once im in there? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you

    • @PrestigeWorldwideFishing
      @PrestigeWorldwideFishing  Před 2 měsíci

      That sounds like a high pressure pump issue to me. Surly they make a cheaper fuel pump for your boat then that right? You will need a new gasket that goes between the top of the fuel pump case and the bottom. The big one under the lid… not sure how to describe it. It’s really the only seal/gasket that isn’t on the actual fuel pump itself.
      Good luck!

    • @PrestigeWorldwideFishing
      @PrestigeWorldwideFishing  Před 24 dny

      @stemhead do you know if there is any fuel in the high pressure pump canister? Hard to exactly decipher because they work together. That low pressure pump is going to put the fuel in the high pressure tank so the high pressure tank can distribute it. It sounds like the high pressure, but if you take the tank canister lid off and there is no fuel in it, it’s most likely the low pressure pump.

    I'm wondering if this is the pump that was causing me an issue today. Today was our fish off and it was 30 degrees when I got the boat off of the trailer. I tried to let my motor idle to warm up and it would cut off after about 15-45 seconds of running the motor. If you went and pumped the bulb by hand, it would sometimes keep running. I noticed whenever I turned the key on that I wasn't getting the whirring noise or whatever it makes when the fuel pump or something turns on. I replaced a fuse under the cowling and it didnt change any thing. Once I got home I messed with it some and I found one fuse that was at the battery. I changed it out and messed with a few other things. When I went back to turn the key on, I could hear the normal whirring type sound from what I believe is the fuel pump. I have no clue if the fuse tripped because it was so cold or if the pump is just going out.

    • @PrestigeWorldwideFishing
      @PrestigeWorldwideFishing  Před 7 měsíci +1

      I wouldn’t think the cold would mess with the fuse but possible.

    • @tlalexander3
      @tlalexander3 Před 7 měsíci

      @PrestigeWorldwideFishing I figured out what it was I believe. I had reconnected the line at the fuel bulb because there was a small drop. Whenever I reconnected the bulb it pushed the lining and obstructed the fuel line. I replaced the line today and saw the obstruction. I also cut it open and the lining had sucked itself flat past the obstruction. So it wasn't getting enough fuel to run for long
