Its all hunky dory from the top, you need to live in the city to experience it and in my opinion it is not a true metropolis yet. It has the potential if the mindset of the local people changes to a progressive one, which is not the case yet. And I am from Kolkata.

As Kolkata resident I feel offended when people include Salt Lake and New Town inside Kolkata... C'mon man... Salt Lake and New Town is most boring place I ever visited in my life... Just corporate concrete cages assembled in blocks with bunch of Fancy restaurants.
