My Dad died on November 1st during the hour of mercy. He had a brain bleed and was taken off like support nearly 12 hours before he died. They thought he would pass within minutes after they extubated him. But he held on, peacefully for so long.
He used to make beautiful rosaries and gifted hundreds of them and sold many more. I was blessed to be with him and my mom for those last hours. We prayed for him and loved him until the moment he went home. Thank you for your prayers, on behalf of my Dad, who I pray is in heaven or on his way.
Thank you Father. Like you I had a conversation with our Lord while going to confession in the church of the Holy Sepulcher in Israel. I had just started my confession when a blinding light filled the confessional and the “priest“ on the other side began telling ME my sins. I knew immediately I was in the presence of our Lord and the feeling was so overwhelming one immediately begins to sob uncontrollably. I thought everyone in the church could hear me crying. After leaving the confessional I was relieved to see there was no one else in church. I later asked one of the High Priests which priest was hearing confessions and he told me “there are no confessions today my son, all the priests are in Jerusalem for a conference.“ He then just smiled and told me “you are not the first person to experience this my son.” 🙏🙏🙏

My son was hit by a car 10 years ago, suffered serious orthopedic and closed head injuries. He had massive surgeries and was in a coma for 3 weeks. On Good Friday at 3PM he woke up, on Easter Sunday he came back and recognized us. All I could do was thank God. It’s been a long and difficult 10 years and he has struggled. I just pray he finds his way back to God.
Brain Injuries are tough. He is now more susceptible to have brain inflammation and compromised immune system cbd oil is great for inflammation. Also turmeric supplements. Google foods that curve inflammation issues and also supplements. Prayers 🙏

I am born Muslim and I like stories like this.. I found myself looking and reading about Jesus more than I read and learn from Quran. Do not get me wrong I love my religion but I feel there is more than just being born muslim.

This guy didn't die. Think about it. Nobody really dies for 2 1/2 hours and "comes back". Their brain wouldn't even be able to function, due to the brain damage. Plus, rigor mortis sets in within 2 hours and you certainly don't "come back" from that! This guy simply never died.

I've been a registered nurse since 1975. Most of my practicing years were critical care & what Fr Wendell just described was indeed the 'code blue' we did all the time. I was aware of these phenomena for a long time, & began asking my "patients who have died" if they went through the experience. So many were elated that I asked them that, & they described what Fr is talking about. My mom was very sick & almost coded many times, & she told me that was she saw was a bright light, Jesus sitting on a rock, beckoning her to come over to Him. So many stories, all very similar, & the patients were happy about the experience. Ya gotta love it!

Researchers estimate that around 17% of people have an NDE. That means about 80% don't.
Scratch beneath those alleged flat EKG lines and the stories are a veritable Twilight Zone of inconsistencies. Some near-death voyagers claim to have met God - BUT A FEW SAW ELVIS PRESLEY OR GROUCHO MARX, researchers say. Others get to heaven not through the famous "tunnel", but ABOARD GHOSTLY TAXI CABS, FERRIES THAT CROSS THE RIVER STYX, OR SPANGLED COWS.
Even some children - often touted as the best source of unbiased information - sometimes return from "death" CLAIMING THEY WERE GREETED IN THE OTHER WORLD by STILL LIVING TEACHERS and NINTENDO CHARACTERS.
HINDUS WHO BELIEVE IN YAMRAJ, the Hindu god of death, EXPERIENCED MEETING HIM. A Hindu girl "died" AND WENT TO HEAVEN ON A COW. Would that mean western people will be riding cows to heaven? Jews who don't believe in Jesus or "hell", experienced meeting God as described in the Old Testament, while messianic Jews experienced God as Jesus.
Dr. Richard Eby had an NDE and allegedly Jesus told him he had to back, and that he (Jesus) would be returning (2nd coming) before he died permanently. BUT DR. RICHARD EBY HAS NOW DIED AND JESUS HAS NOT RETURNED.
A few hospitals have placed signs in their cardiac units - with nonsensical messages visible only from above - BUT SO FAR NOBODY HAS RETURNED FROM DEATH CLAIMING TO HAVE FLOATED UP AND SEEN ONE.
In one study carried out, the experiences of 16 Asian Indians were compared with those of Americans, and IT WAS FOUND THAT THE INDIANS HAD ENCOUNTERED YAMRAJ, the Hindu god of the dead, WHILE THE AMERICANS HAD NOT.
You would expect that if any one particular religious account of the afterlife was true, NDEs would be pretty much the same. BUT THESE ACCOUNTS ARE SO VARIED AND ARE ARE ALL BASED ON CULTURAL EXPOSURE. IN INDIA, PEOPLE SEE HINDU GODS; IN SAUDI ARABIA ITS ALLAH, MOHAMED, AND A BUNCH OF VIRGINS. The kid from the book/movie Heaven Is For Real, saw a Jesus with sea-green blue eyes ON A RAINBOW COLORED HORSE, GOD WITH HUGE WINGS, YELLOW HAIR AND BLUE EYES; and ONE LITTLE GIRL WENT TO HEAVEN AND WAS GREETED BY A PORTLY MAN WITH A WHITE BEARD AND RED CAP, aka SANTA CLAUSE.
The Mapuche people of South America and residents of Hawaii are more likely to SEE LANDSCAPES AND VOLCANOES, whereas NDEs in Thailand rarely involve landmarks, tunnels, or light. For Tibetans, light features more heavily AS DO ILLUSIONS OF REINCARNATION. Europeans and North Americans often visualize beautiful gardens; intriguingly the Kalai of Melanesia are more inclined to SEE AN INDUSTRIALIZED WORLD OF FACTORIES. An NDEr's subjective recollections can be attributed to many factors: THE NDEr's PSYCHOLOGY, PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, BACKGROUND, ETC., NOT JUST CULTURE.
The terrain of Heaven also varies wildly - from gardens, forests, and CATTLE FILLED PASTURES in some accounts, to clouds, COMPUTER ROOMS OR CASTLES, in others. A TEXAN SAW BARBED WIRE FENCES IN THE AFTERLIFE. Micronesians describe LARGE NOISY CITIES WITH CARS AND SKYSCRAPERS.
Drug addicts, felons (murder), suicides, hedonists, abusers, mean people, and gay people have all claimed to encounter heaven. Strangely, people have claimed to enter some "hell" FOR THE SAME REASONS. Contradictions abound.
This is a wonder. Is the hereafter actually mining and refining raw materials needed to build castles, cars, barbed wire fences, computers, and skyscrapers? From where do they get this material and tools? Not to mention the raw materials and tools needed to construct an ever increasing number of those cages and cubes in the Christian hell, as a few claim. Who builds those cages? And which of the variety of "hells" do you actually go to? Christian? Buddhist? Spiritualist? Hindu? Muslim? Some other one? The answer seems to be whichever one the experience has been exposed to, as Thai NDErs regularly claim to encounter LORD YAMA AND YAMATOOTS, COMPLETE WITH TALKING DECEASED ROOSTERS, and being sentenced to Buddhist "hell" for butchering and eating chicken, then reincarnated as birds. DOES THAT MEAN WESTERNERS WILL UNKNOWINGLY BE HEADING TO BUDDHIST "HELL" FOR EATING CHICKEN? Thai accounts state that butchers become lumps of meat in Buddhist "hell", so what then awaits Western slaughterhouse workers?
Even in her rather homogeneous Western European clientele, Kubler-Ross could see the effects of early enculturation: " I NEVER ENCOUNTERED A PROTESTANT CHILD WHO SAW THE VIRGIN MARY IN HIS LAST MINUTES, YET SHE WAS PERCEIVED BY MANY CATHOLIC CHILDREN."
But there also are some hard-to-explain differences, Melvin Morse says. Whereas American near-death survivors are typically sent back by God because “it’s not your time yet,” INDIA'S AFTERLIFE VISITORS ARE MORE LIKELY TO BE TOLD THERE WAS A “CLERICAL ERROR.”
Even more curious: SOMETIMES THE BEING OF LIGHT IS ELVIS PRESLEY. Moody has chronicled at least two such sightings.
Yet the evidence for near-death paranormal powers remains shaky at best. TWO STUDIES HAVE FOUND THAT PATIENTS’ “OUT OF BODY” ACCOUNTS OF WHAT HAPPENED IN THE OPERATING ROOM WERE WRONG. So were the 1988 Armageddon forecasts hyped by Ring and others.
Michael Sabom, however, offers a compromise stance: He rejects the idea that they provide glimpses of a heaven or hell. "I’m not saying these people didn’t experience something odd. But I am saying that we should take it with a grain of salt, because IF ANECDOTES MEET YOUR STANDARD FOR WHAT QUALIFIES AS EVIDENCE, then you should probably start buying tin foil and food buckets, because THERE ARE JUST AS MANY PEOPLE WHO REPORT SEEING REPTILIANS AND WHO HAVE BEEN ABDUCTED BY ALIENS."
But what about veridical NDEs - near-death experiences in which the person supposedly sees something they couldn’t otherwise have known while ‘flat-lining’ and others are able to verify that what they saw is indeed correct. The most notorious example of this is Maria’s shoe. A lady named Maria reportedly left her body, floated around and saw a shoe on a ledge outside her hospital window, that she ‘couldn’t have possibly seen.’ Her critical care provider, Kimberly Clark, looked outside and saw the shoe, just as described. BUT WHEN RESEARCHERS TRIED TO TRACK DOWN MARIA TO CONFIRM CLARK'S STORY, THEY WEREN'T ABLE TO FIND ANY SUCH PERSON OR ANYONE ELSE TO CORROBORATE THE ACCOUNT. And when they placed a shoe on the ledge, it was clearly visible from the hospital room, PROVING CLARK HAD EXAGGERATED AT LEAST PART OF THE STORY. Here’s the topper. There is no record of Maria being in that hospital.
Sixty years ago, Dr. Wilder Penfield, a neurosurgeon, poked around the right temporal lobe of some epileptic patients and discovered that they would hear heavenly music, relive their pasts in 3D, and have out-of-body visions. Similar experiments continue.
There is Dr. Melvin Morse's discovery of "a portal" in the brain that when stimulated, triggers a NDE. He writes that some are threatened by this, as the discovery makes the experience unreal.
There’s growing evidence that the temporal lobe plays a huge role in creating NDEs. When patients had their brains scanned after an NDE, it was discovered that they had increased levels of temporal lobe activity compared with those in a control group. THAT COULD EXPLAIN WHY ONLY A SMALL PERCENTAGE OF PEOPLE HAVE NDEs. When Dr. Olaf Blanke implanted electrodes into the brains of patients, HE WAS ABLE TO TRIGGER SUPERNATURAL AND OUT OF BODY EXPERIENCES BY STIMULATING THE TEMPORAL PARIETAL JUNCTION.

I’m an Eastern Orthodox. I have seen so many miracles in my life. The one that shifted something in me when Hawaiian Icon Mother of God came to our church. I venerated her and I was crying non stop for three hours can’t stop crying and all the sins that I have done all came to me but then the biggest change happened I felt like my whole body and every single cell was “re-born” and sensation that I’m in love with the whole world was so powerful and lasted 3-4 days. I talked to a nun at The Iveron Mother of God Monastery and she said this experience happens with the grace of Mother of God. I have been a priest for 34 years. Shortly after ordination I was saying Mass in a small parish in England. A lady came to the vestry after Mass asking for holy water. She told me it wasn't for her, it was for her husband who was very unwell at home. I asked her if she would like me to visit her husband, she said yes and we wen't straight from the church. On entering the house I saw a man who was skeletal. I introduced myself and we had a lengthy conversation, we got on really well. Before I left he asked if he could tell me something, I said off course. He told me that he had died three time on the operating table. Before this experience he was afraid to die, but he was afraid no more. Two weeks later Joe died and went to Heaven to be with the Lord. What a privilege for me, what an honour to minister to that man. He gave me much more than I gave him.

Instead you come back to life and make a video of what you experienced while you were dead.
So now when a born again says he or she died it all depends on your definition of death.
My understanding of death is going to sleep and not waking up.

I am a Caregiver, when my patient was dying I saw God in a great splendor of light, God is light so beautiful light that I cannot even described how beautiful it is and and one time I had this dream that I was on the other side, I felt the love and warmth that I never felt before there, when I woke up the love and warmth that I felt was still inside my body and felt it for almost one week, how I wish I never opened my eyes the next morning., it's so good to be in heaven...

I am starting to see that it’s not a religious sect (Baptist, catholic, Lutheran….ect) that you may identify with that allows you to enter heaven. But it’s a personal relationship with Jesus and God that does, and believing that Jesus died for you that does, God has been drawing me to him over the past 15 + months, but NOW I UNDERSTAND things a little better. Right. The Lord is not interested in denominations. He wants a 1:1 personal relationship with you and Him. His one commandment that He want people to obey is love. Love God and love others. But with pure motive and sincerity of the heart. Not out of obligation, duty, ir selfish reasons.
Because He says love covers all other commandments and laws. Because when we love God we are able to love others sincerely and will not want to do harm in any way or form to others, or break the moral laws etc.
The fear of the Lord protects us. It leads us to do right and live righteously. Because what we do here on earth is also what we will in reap in the afterlife.
My husband, who is pictured here is indeed in heaven. I loved him as a friend way back in high school. I helped to bring him back into the church 40 years after I had graduated from High School. He got reacquainted with the Lord through my going to church as he wanted to go with me. He lived for a beautiful sixteen years of being married and he wanted a bible. I bought him a beautiful white bible. Then he wanted a book of all of the theological practices of the church. There have been so many miracles that I have seen since his death. I know that my husband is indeed in heaven.

In 1987 i was out of work..3 babys,,a wife,,2,3,4 yr old babys,a temporary job poped up..i took it..long story short..on the job that day..i was ran over by a truck and died..as i stood at the light..with only 3 things on my mind,,a voice spoke,its time,,with a calm but pityful but begging to me..i said..please my babies..let me raise my babie..again..its time..again i ask..please,my babys with a pittaful cry ..please i ask..after one more sorrowed cry from me to raise them..it was a silence..i see them..just a glance away working on my body..the voice then spoke, So be it,but you wont like it.. 9 days latter i awoke from a come..a fought my way back..i raised my babies..then i seen what i was told of..divorce,decet.lies ..to a point at 57 yrs old i look and think,the warning i got from god was sooo on point,,i love my children..they never brought me any reason to be dissapointed ..but..all my other aspects..yep..i didnt.and dont like,,i truly believe that my reason..was why i was allowed to return..and altho its been hard..rough..sometimes boarderline..mental break down..im so glad i was given the chance to be with my kids..i know for a fact..god..God let me return..and i love him foe letting me..i have 4 grandchildren..and the pain i have lived..its been worth every mins..thank you jesus..thank you.

I too had an NDE (near-death experience), at 25 years old, I called it my "religious experience", I too was in front of the deep white light, penetrating, yet soft and unconditionally loving energy of the Almighty after passing through a tunnel, also had like you the mental download you spoke about and a mini life review. I understood the rippling effect of our good and bad actions. My message from the Almighty after asking about the meaning of life was one word L O V E. The Lord is listening to your prayers I’m sure.
When my kids were small, my husband was so so about going to mass. But just being a witness of my faith, he got more involved and after so many years he’s the one pushing me to pray more. My children now grown are not that spiritual but we keep praying for them to come back to God. Even though they were raised Catholic, their faith is kind of weak.
We’ll just be patient and wait for the Lord to work on them. Glory to God in heaven !!

Yesterday I went to confession again, then went to the Holy Mass, everything was just peaceful. But the next 24 hours have been so horrible, I surely felt the devil hating my purification. I sent my worries and problems to Lord Jesus and he guided me the past two hours to get into this place of peace again. My mother was an atheist and converted to Catholicism through an intervention she had. She was taking classes to become catholic because when she married my father she had to promise to raise her children catholic. She was doing some form of meditation the priest gave them to do, she tried it a few times and than she saw bright lights flashing and 100's of people in robes with their heads bowed down stood in front of her, they walked forward and disappeared, than there were 3, the 3 walked forward, than just 1 stood there and she said he looked just like Jesus. well that was enough to convert her. I don't think I'll ever see another person as devout as my mother, she went to mass daily, prayed the rosary a couple of times a day, and was president of the Legion of Mary in her parish for 20 or so years. She also had another experience, she was vacuuming her room and was thrown down to the ground and before her flashed all the sins of her past life. Now I don't know if Jesus actually talked to her but I have a feeling she did have conversations with him.

Twice in my life I had dreams. I saw colours I’ve never seen before and can’t even describe or say that it was close to any colour we have because they’re not, they’re a colour of their own. So rich and deep. I knew these colours weren’t from this world, all I could feel was love. Another dream I heard music, angels singing to notes I’ve never heard before. I couldn’t replicate what I heard and haven’t heard since. It was so beautiful, I was crying because I knew I was in the presence of God Almighty. I was in the presence of immense peace and love.

I relate to this. I collapsed and my wife, a nurse, gave me CPR. My heart stopped and I wasn't breathing. My eyes were open directly into the sun. Suddenly, I was suspended looking down at my body and my wife trying to get me back. I was so peaceful, and surrounded by a beautiful light, that I didn't want to go back. A voice said, " It isn't your time", and I was back in my body. I wonder how many others have had such an experience. I am a practicing Catholic and grateful to God for a full life.

It's not your time because He wants you to know and understand and believe in the true gospel. Your blessed to have married your proper wife. I'm reminded of the Woman at the Well Bible story there Jesus told the Woman to go get her husband. He knew the guy she was shacking up with was not her proper mate but Jesus wasn't nasty about it. He didn't call her names. Everyone wants a normal life like the 1950s show Father knows best. Nowadays, we have bad adoptions, bad marriages. We see more families akin to Dick York and Elizabeth Montgomery in Bewitched or The Adams Family or The Munsters. There's not too much normal anymore in this era. We don't even have a normal Pope or Cardinals anymore.

What a great testimony, fr. Rick. We need more priests like you in our church. Recently after 30 years I went to confession and was reconciled. For years my life was in turmoil, I could not find any peace, there was something in me that was not right, I could not make it out. I felt ashamed not taking communion for so many years, I had forgotten how to confess...now my life is one of peace and tranquillity. I feel contented and whatever I do seems to be right: I think right, do right, feel right...it's a great feeling and it gets better all the time. I recommend it to anyone who has become a non-practiced: you are lost, in limbo, one small step confide in your priest, pour your heart out and be reconciled - you will never regret it! I loved hearing this. THE NDE is real. I met Jesus myself when I was in a car crash. I was shot right out of my body. Jesus has no religion except LOVE. I was not told to join any church. I was told I should go back because as a soul I made promises to others that I would be in their life for their highest good. I knew then that I could not fail my mission. If I stayed, I would have failed and let them down. I didn't want to come back here. But I wanted to succeed none the less.

One day while walking in a cemetery with my sister I had the same experience with the sun. It seemed to be spinning and rushing back and forth. It was different bright colors of yellows and red and oranges. It was so strange. It was unbelievable. I kept telling my sister look look at the sun look what it’s doing but she didn’t see it. She thought I was cracking up. I actually googled about orbs and phenomenon but nothing matched what I saw. I know in my heart it was something special from God.

His testimony has meant so much for me and others I read in the book "OF MEN AND MARY" (Book that any devotee of Mary or newly converted should read, it's a treasure as a book) Im already has been accepted to be a lay Catholic consecrated missionary. I believe, I believe , I BELIEVE in Jesus and Mary and Eternity !!!!! Please pray for me and my vocation. May Jesus and Mary bless you all and protect you and please pray the father's health.

You can only pray in the name of Jesus Christ the Saviour. Mary was just a human like you. Praying to Mary or asking her to pray for you amounts to idolatry.
