I always find it so damn fascinating to think about how in the fuck they built and engineered these monstrous things, being the size they are and all the complex shit that goes into their functions. My father used to drive a Liebherr T28 2B Haul-Pack for Cortez Gold mine in the 90's. Every year each elementary class would tour the mine and pretend to lift a gold bar and then everyone would sit next to one another in the wheel well for a class photo. It was awesome. Then one year he had to move the line arches (big ass metal arches that power lines n' such lay across so the trucks can pass under) using the truck. He pulled the cab beneath the arch and raised the truck as if he were dumping it. When it fully extended it would raise the arch and it would balance across it like a staple. Then he drove it down the road slowly and set it down. It was the most insane and awesome things I've ever seen. I was eight years old at the time and I still get butterflies thinking about it.

You wouldn't believe it wasn't the human who built this and im saying this with confidence because my relatives work in a company as he witness the thing who built this kind of giant vechicles. Also electrical stuff breaks down so easily in terrain, bumps, dust and just weather conditions. Loosing connection to the controller, getting hit with any kind of ordnance from the enemy. Then getting it up and running again would mean to recall it back home, or send some one to fix it, in the meantime it's out of commision. Stupid idea.

I know the coal miner is awesome and giant but the area it keeps destroying here in germany grows concerning and our government dosnt have plans to stop soon, it already destroyed two small cities and sits near the third. With the oil shortage this year they might even increase production to get shit to heat homes with.
The main part is also that its mining brown coal wich is the worst coal to heat or get power with.
