  • In this review I want to demonstrate The free Orchestra from Project Sam. It's one year now that Project Sam released this fantastic library, it was my first library when I got back to music app. one year ago and yes, it made me appreciate Project Sam a lot and even more happy the day I bought Orchestral Essentials 1&2 then.
    In this video I will go through all the different patches and compose a little piece at the end using only the Free Orchestra in Logic Pro, obviously some piece of epic music just in the style of Project Sam :)
    You can download the library here: projectsam.com...
    You just need to register to their website.
    Any question, please just leave them in the comment.
    Have a nice day :)
    PS: If you like my content mostly created in nightshift and would like to support me then a coffee would be much appreciated:

    Can you please create zoosters breakout theme with this library to see if it would sound good or not

      Hi Altaïr, wow, this sounds like a real challenge but I'm always up for a challenge 😉 I see it a bit difficult with the Free Orchestra as there is no patch for the melody line, but I can try. If you would have asked for Project Sam's Orchestral Essentials 1 it would have been 100% yes. So what I might do is 3 versions:
      1: only Project Sam The Free Orchestra
      2: Project Sam The Free Orchestra "borrowing" 1 or 2 patches from Project Sam Orchestral Essentials 1
      3: Project Sam Orchestral Essentials 1
      Please just give me some time, I hope I can do this within the next two weeks. Have a great day!

    I am a bit in awe watching you compose in real time. I have been wanting to dabble in orchestral music and have this free library, but never saw the potential of it until discovering this video.

    Thanks for the great video and demonstration of composing. Always good to see free orchestral instruments sound so great.
    The free options available now are fantastic compared to the limited free options available a few years ago.

      @@MartinHeidenreichMusic Thanks, Martin. One day I'd love to but I've only taken this up in the last couple of months and haven't a clue what I'm doing, but as soon as I get the hang of things (if I ever do!) I'd be happy to participate.👍

    Wow, my jaw just dropped to Antarctica when watching how quickly and efficiently you went about those tremolandi strings by shortening, copying and reducing velocity, yay!!! Awesome! Thanks for bringing yet another powerful library to my/our attention, great stuff!
    (P.S. Really gasping over how fast you worked here! Goes to show what Guy Michelmore likes to say: "Composing a piece of music shouldn't take much longer than applying a sheet of sunscreen" LOL. [Ein Thema zu komponieren sollte nicht länger dauern als eine Schicht Sonnenschutz aufzutragen]) ;-)]

    If only I could get get the interface that shows in this video to make and play my own selection but dont know how and sometimes not even sound comes through. Think I need simple step by step instructions.

    Hello and thank you for the great video and the overview that comes with it ! Can you tell me how you route the 14 channels, i guess there must be some routing, otherwise you will have 14 instances of Kontakt running which would be maybe to much for the computer system...!? Kind regards Ben

    • @MartinHeidenreichMusic
      @MartinHeidenreichMusic  Před rokem

      Thanks for your nice words and Helge Schneider forever! I actually do have 14 (in bigger projects up to 60) instances of Kontakt running and rarely ran into problems. If my machine can't handle it anymore, for example if I use some of the heavy libraries, then I simply bounce some tracks in place to audio

    • @helgeschneider1052
      @helgeschneider1052 Před rokem +1

      @@MartinHeidenreichMusic Thank you for your reply ! Yes, bouncing in a audio track is an option, but it`s difficult the to change or ad something on that track...but anyway, thank you very much !
