    Bars&Tone, I went to buy it right when it came out, I could see it was going to need a lot of upgrades to drive like I do🤣 so I passed. But no disputing it’s a fun rc. GREAT JOB MY FRIEND!!!!!👍🏆🍻💯

      Yeah that has been the only problem, it does need many upgrades every time I start trying to just rip it how I want to I have discovered a weak spot lol but it is a lot of fun

    of all the damage I've done to my ryft, i still have the issue of stripping gears.
    even after trying a "crawler" motor i still rounded a bunch of new gears stuffed with 20 million weight (diff) fluid; so i just stayed with spools all around and will be returning to stock electronics
    i did lock all of my diffs' with the stock electronics, but that destroyed my beadlock! sooo now i want to find hex adapters and put LMT tires on it.....

      Yeah the lockers was the only way I kept it together for long.

      Thanks, I hit them with the hose spray them down with purple power cleaner let them soak for about 10 minutes and then spray them off and then hit anything metal with WD-40 or some sort of oil.

    That is quite the tear-down and process jus to get the spools in eh?!
    -aha! I see you use the same ubiquitous ammo cans i use for EVERYTHING hahaha. They work great! Even for ammo lol!

    • @BarstoneRC
      @BarstoneRC  Před 2 lety +2

      Yeah it’s a bit of a pain in the ass to be honest with you to terret down, if the car wasn’t fun I would’ve gotten rid of it by now but it’s worth it. But yes the ammo cans are awesome I have plenty of them filled here in the house with other things! Lol

      @@BarstoneRC Haha! Yea, i definitely hear ya on the 'difficult to work on' models. And you're right, they redeem themselves when it comes to 'fun & driveability!' And perhaps even moreso i hear ya on the other full ammo cans!!! Sounds like we have other relatable hobbies thus enjoyed haha!! THAT'S WHAT'S ⬆️💣💥👉💨😉😂😬

    I may be over worried, but that much power and wheel speed on those ar60 axles in locked form, may come back to haunt you.

    Ssd chromeolly don't think I spelt that right but I keep bending my axle shafts in my ar60 axles because I use them In alot of stuff in my unlocked custom monster truck on to homemade stuff similar to the ryft and more but get some of those ssd axles shafts and you will never bend another axles shaft!if I got it setup with speed or alot of power were need to be able to control not crawl it you want them u locked and the ar60s are basically the only axles that I know of that can be unlocked if anyone knows other unlockable axles please let me know!!!they also make a tube that slides over the axles shaft that will strengthen it!

    If we lock the diffs, does it compromise/reduce the speed that you get w/out diffs been locked? Also, do we actually have to lock three diffs? i.e the front, the rear and the center? Is the center is required too? I thought only front and rear is required. Is it going to make any difference? Pls advise. Thanks.

    • @BarstoneRC
      @BarstoneRC  Před 2 lety +1

      I tried just the rear first was not happy with it I then locked the center and it was pretty good I decided to lock the front mainly because I wanted all four wheels turning at the same time it’s obviously not a speed car or meant to go fast so that’s why I wasn’t concerned if it even did cut down on that at all. But you could try just the center in the rear first and see how you like it
