Deep in the heart of Jakarta's slums lies an impenetrable safe house for the world's most dangerous killers and gangsters. it looks incredible, but I'm kinda sad it no longer looks like a bootleg VCD from 2004
Ahhhh nice to see some effort has been put into the 4K release and that all new look. A nice surprise, as I was not thinking very positive when I first heard rumbling of what they were doing, but now I see the difference is clear. Upgrade time!
Definitely a rewatch for me, but im hoping this means there will be The Raid 2 4k release..I know people love the first one, and for good reason but I prefer The Raid 2 as a complete cinematic experience for me..
Looks spectacular, and sounds even better. Bravo to this release.

Thanks for sharing -- I'm waiting to see what The Raid 4K from Umbrella is all about before making a purchase decision. Maybe it'll have more features? Also finding out the Blu-ray is just the old one is a bit of a letdown -- so there is no 'new' color-timed Blu-ray version - only 4K? That's kinda limited considering the source material isn't native 4K
No new color grading for Blu-Ray.
Strange, but whatever. As I said in the video, at least you don't have to buy two versions to get both color grades... except we probably all already own a prior version, haha.

Afaik, the blueish tone version is only after released internationally (plus sounds by Mike Shinoda, and added Redemption in tittle). Indonesian version that released earlier got original color grading and music by Aria& Fajar.
No, he spoke about it for awhile he wanted to recolor the film because due to his experience back then the film came out looking like that.
The OG soundtrack is included with the 4K alongside the Mike Shinoda one.

Korean steel-book edition doesn't have DUB-TITLES.
The picture quality has a lighter contrast compared to the UK release.
Korean ver covers the complete screen ,UK ver you can see the bars top & bottom.

Can't find the movie under 50 to a 100eur in eu, collecting 4k is becoming useless whayyyy to much abuse, that's killing little by little the market, I'm looking for 4 movie total will be 240eur at best 😢cost more than the Blu-ray player 😂
