  • We were joined by The Outdoor Swimming Society for an evening of discussion on how to have better swim adventures in 2024. A lively panel of swimmers known for every type of swim adventure talk about their recent and upcoming endeavours, so you can find inspiration in planning your next trip.
    · Find adventure nearby - Alastair Humphreys, author of Local, found everything he needed in one OS map
    · Make an adventure your very own - Kate Rew, author of The Outdoor Swimmers’ Handbook, on finding your pull, spider crabs, embracing the unknown, and pulling off difficult plans.
    · Overcome barriers - Nadia Shaikh, co-director of Right to Roam, on trespassing, and navigating an outdoors completely unknown in your formative years.
    · Ask questions - Calum Maclean, author of 1001 Outdoor Swimming Tips, on awe, nudity, and how an adventure often starts with a question.
A big thank you to The Outdoor Swimming Society for another evening of inspiring swims.
Right, time to head off for a dip. See you out there!

Thank you Kate!!! for for bringing up my question as I was unable to attend live. And thank you Kate and Alaister. Yes, we're planning to do smaller chunks of the area as part of our training, and I love your point of talking a lot about our intention, slowing down and hoping that tips from experienced swimmers comes our way.
