Trauma isn't just an emotional response, trauma is actually stored up in the body and changes our DNA. It's very physical as well as mental, emotional, psychological and spiritual.
Deep Trauma can be/is stored in the body when it isn't processed properly for sure! But the emotional response/reaction ( based on a faulty belief ) to the traumatizing event is what causes the actual (emotional) trauma. The overwhelm of this emotion gets stored in the body bc its too much to process all at once. As the emotional trauma response loops in our brains we come to believe lies about self, God, others, and life based on fear which causes us to hide our true self. There is no condemnation around this of course bc it's an automatic defense response to protect self from further harm BUT it does not lead to healing and freedom since only the TRUTH and belief of Gods love for us sets us free. The emotion does need to be released from the body and this is a painful process but it happens as we begin to believe the Truth of who God is and who we are in Him, and what He has done and does for us...we can let go of the fear as we see we are safe...He is / was there helping, protecting, taking the full brunt of the trauma on the cross...it does not belong to us. He took it. It is FINISHED. It is a process. Let's keep pressing into the Truth and release the pain to God. xox

Jesus had obviously agreed to sacrifice Himself whilst in heaven with the Father so I don’t think that we have God’s approval because Jesus was ever the same as us in not having done anything for God. Our approval is because of our faith in Jesus and the righteousness we have received by faith.
