- Today video is not as cheery as normal sheepdog storm is not well with a mysterious lump on her ribs
We rush to the vets and try to keep you up to date with what has happen in the last week and find out what the test results show and how treatments will proceed
Sean: I think that you would be well supported if you ever had to crowd-fund for vet treatment. Don’t be shy of asking: you’ve been giving us a lot of pleasure from your videos.
Complete agreement. Lots of people would contribute.
I agree❤
I will be praying for Storm. Keep us informed, please.
Thank you, I will
Same!
I'll add Storm to my prayers. ❤ thanks for the update.
No apologizes needed about whither you have the time to make videos or not. We understand and agree...Storm is the propriety. Thank you for letting us being a part of the dogs. Prayers for Storm, you and Stacey.
Agree…
I totally agree 🙋♀️🐶
😊😊
My heart was in my throat as I feared it was a tumor. I'm so relieved as I'm sure everyone is that it is not. Thank you and Stacy for letting us know. Keeping you, Stacy and your dogs in my prayers.
Of course Storm is your highest priority. Wishing good health for her!
So relieved it's not cancer. Praying for complete healing for Storm. Blessings to you both.
Yes it’s something treatable
I'm so relieved that Storm didn't have a twisted stomach. When that happened to my 11-year-old dog, she became instantly very sick. This happened on a Saturday so we had to take her to an unfamiliar vet practice. A second vet was called in to help with the emergency surgery. The next day she showed signs of heart distress. I was really scared. The vet believed it would help her to rally and heal if we visited with her, so she opened the practice on a Sunday for us. I was so grateful for this vet! We sat with our dog in the grass for about an hour, giving her lots of love like you're doing with Storm. My dog got through this awful experience and lived to be almost 16-years-old. It's a terrible feeling to have a sick dog. You can't tell them why they can't come home and why they're stitched up with an IV tube in their leg. My heart is with you and Storm. You won't lose my subscription if you don't post videos while you care for her. I like your channel even more since you shared this experience and your love for Storm. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Our pets always get seriously ill on the weekend not very convenient or cheap emergency vet call but they are family so I get it.
Having a dog unwell is like having a child unwell, such a worry ❤️prayers for Storm.
It really isn't.
@@laurastuart3814judging by your repetitive trolling you don't have dogs. This isn't the place for it.
@susanalexander6721 I have 3 children, have owned and bred dogs. When your child is ill, it is much worse and that is natural.
So true
Praying to St Francis to wrap Storm in his healing arms 🙏 The beautiful animals we follow and love on social media are real, not toys, things happen to them. I know you love your dogs dearly and are doing everything for Storm. Please keep us updated, just a short video, as we are all worried about your special girl. 🐾🩷
Thank you I will
I'm sure my BCs-over the Rainbow Bridge-are herding him around-just for fun-and teaching the other dogs there how to play Border Collie soccer- just for fun as well!
Animals don't show pain as it's a sign to predators that they are vulnerable. It's all about survival. What a fantastic dog, so intelligent and happy!! 🥰🥰
Adding my good wishes and prayers to those of other viewers. Do not worry about less frequent postings; your faithful viewers understand and appreciate that your priorities are in the right order.❤🙏. Get well soon, Storm.
Very well said... priorities 🧡
Aw, poor Storm! She does seem to be enjoying her extra care. Thank goodnes it's "only" a flesh wound of some kind! 😢😊
Set up a “Go Fund Me” to solicit funds for Storm. I’m sure you can get help with her bills. I would contribute!
Yes, really do consider that. People would love to help.
As would I. I love these videos.
Godspeed to Storm 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼❤️ for a complete recovery
Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your family life. Storm, like all your fur babies will be kept in prayer… you and Stacy too. ✨💖✨
"Fur babies" really?
At 3:42 I recognize that look of concern on Sean's face. You can tell Sean cares so much for his dogs. I am sitting here watching with my Border Collie, Huck, by my side. These dogs are just so special. They are so strong and athletic and fearless but that makes you always a little anxious about what could happen. I am hoping for the best for Storm and a strong recovery. Thanks for sharing Sean.
hoping for the best. there's nothing like a border collie.
Get well, Storm !My BC Gypsy Rose Lee had Old Dog Vestibular Disease first when she was 12. A vet at a nearby clinic did a pretty good job rehydration her and I had to give her a anti-motion sickness pill each day for a week. She got her strength back, but seemed to lose some of her hearing though and no longer howled with her cousin Bo Peep when our tornado siren went off on Wednesdays at noon. 2 years later, she had another attack and my boyfriend took us to a PetSmart. Bad idea, but she was 14.8 years by now. They put her down, 8 months after Bo Peep was put down at the same place (not for ODVD) I wanted to go back to the 1st. place, but couldn't afford it. I miss both girls so much. Any of your BCs ever get this and why was she the only BC of mine that got it? I hope I can avoid it if I can get another BC one day. Keep your lovely BCs healthy and happy! My girl's idea of working was making sure their "mama" (me) stayed happy making sure I had my walkies too and Tess and Gypsy letting me know when my glucose was not too high or low.
Totally get what you are saying. I've got two BCs- one tri and one BW. Love them both. Great dogs all around. Lost my prior BC to cancer and that is what I feared he was going to say. I have racked my brains trying to figure out why she got cancer at the age of eight. Broke my heart and miss her to this day. This breed is so special.
@@virginiaconnor8350So sorry for your troubles with your dogs. Our one Cairn Terrier got ODVD and it was scary when the dizziness hit her. Of course we thought the worse. They kept her over the weekend at the vets and were worried she hadn't improved. We visited her on the Sunday and she was more perky and they told us she could come home on the Monday. We picked her up with instructions on feeding with a syringe but when she was home she well enough to be fed from our hands and let us know when she needed to use her papers. A few days later she was totally fine. She only had a couple of spells after that which only lasted an hour or less.
Our dog had Idiopathic Old Dog Vestibular Disease and the cause is not known. It can hit any breed and as the name says it affects older dogs. Our dog was 14 and we had her another two years, and as I said only a couple of short spells. The vets said that if it lasted longer then they would like to see her to help with nausea and making sure she was hydrated. But she bounced right back.
I would not worry about getting any particular breed of dog because of this disease. We also had her half-sister who never had any problems. I understand not having a doggoe around. We need some renovations and a new fence so we've decided to wait to get another couple of dogs, and it is hard not having a pet around. Hopefully you and I will soon have a dog around to love. ❤🐶❤
Storm was eating grass behind you, which could mean she is trying to heal something. Thank you for taking such good care of her and for keeping us in the loop. Prayers up! 🙏🙏 🐾🐶
Not sure about all breeds but Border collies eat grass (and even a little sheep poop) literally every day. It’s part of healthy digestion for them. I’m a shepherd in Washington State USA and am part of a circle of shepherds up here - we all have Border collies - they all do it and it’s perfectly normal. Nothing to be concerned about; I’d be more worried if they didn’t eat grass every day!
@@OvisAriesFarm Thanks!
My dog is a pit bull. His 1st owner was a drug dealer who did dog fighting. When my dog came to live with me he was skin & bones. We had a lot of challenges with food aggression that took 2 yrs to overcome. Not an easy road, but worth it. He's a good pupper. 😊
Grateful you found the lump and that your vet had a reassuring diagnosis. Prayers you and Stacey don't worry too much and that Storm is running the fields again soon.
Yes hopefully thank you
Thank you for the updates on Storm. She is in our prayers and thoughts. So are you and your wife. I know you are worried as I would be and am for Storm. She's a good girl and has a lot of spirit, she is a fighter. God bless you all.
Sean, you are so knowledgeable about animals. Storm is in good hands. You've explained that working dogs aren't pets, but I was glad to see Storm getting some extra cuddles when she doesn't feel so well. I'll be tuning in to keep up with your news. Blessings to all of you. ❤
Our animals are integral to our lives. Prayers for Storm and her family - you.
God bless you people and all dogs an sheeps
There are so many ways to get injured. She might have fallen on a branch or thorn.
Having a dog unwell is always so stressful! I hope she‘ll get well soon.
Good on you Sean, praying your lass makes a full recovery and is back up running soon
Much appreciated
So glad she is improving! No worries on the videos. Your faithful followers will be here when you get back at it. Take care of you and yours. That is most important!❤
Dogs often don't show weakness or that they're feeling poorly, I imagine this is even more so with a working dog. I can relate to how much stress this puts you and Stacey under, having had many dogs in my life. Thanks for being such a loving leader of your pack. Nice to see the great bond you have with Storm. I join others here and pray for Storm's recovery and success with IVF. What amazing parents you will be some day. God Bless 🙏
First off, all the best to you, Stacey and Storm. To you and Stacey for being such good pet parents, and to Storm for a quick recovery. Owning a sick pet is so frustrating, since there's nothing you can do to make them feel better but take them to the vet. And, as with people, these health issues seem to come out of nowhere at the speed of light, blindsiding us. Please keep us posted on Storm's progress, and make sure you take care of yourself and your beautiful wife as well. Getting worn down doesn't help anyone!
Poor Storm. Sending all my love. Will keep Storm in my prayers. 💕🌻
Thanks
Dogs, family, life---it's not all beer & skittles, sometimes it's worry & hassle, but thank you for letting us know about Storm. I hope that maybe sharing with your viewers gives you & Stacy some comfort as the good wishes come pouring in. I'm so glad the vet doesn't think this is something serious, I'll bet she'll be back at full speed in no time, unless she gets used to being a pampered princess & decides it's the easy life for her (not likely!!). Very best wishes to you all.
I'm sorry Storm has this nasty thing, I hope she is better soon. She is in Very Good Hands. I appreciate you sharing this, as I assume the vast majority of your followers are dog parents too and it is useful to know what can go wrong. 🐾❤️
Thanks for sharing the struggles as well as the joys of owning dogs. Thoughts and prayers for you, Stacey, and Storm during this stressful time ❤
You & your family ( including your furbabies) come first, always.
Yes they do
Storm 😥 Dogs should always be healthy and they should never die 💜
Poor Storm, I hope she recovers well and gets back to doing what she loves very soon. You and Stacey take care and stay positive in all aspects of your life.
Sending good thoughts and prayers to beautiful Storm and your whole family from America. ❤
Unfortunately, I don't understand enough English and have to use Google Translate to help me, but I wish Storm a speedy recovery and that she gets well soon! ❤
When I think about my border collie being sick, I can't imagine what I would do.
Above all, take care of your dog now and take your time!💕🐾💕 My positive thoughts accompany you all!💞
So relieved to hear it's not terminal or life threatening. Sending positive thoughts and get well wishes Storm has a full recovery ❤
I hope she makes a strong recovery dude!
Thank you
@seanthesheepman5845 sometimes they just get lumpy fatty tumors. Happened with my niece's dogs
@@LindaC616I think that's how my Gem (the Empath) died. She was ½ Aussie and ½BC. Ajax-son of Bo Peep and Tess's son JackBNimble-ate too much Kibbles&Bits the vet said. "Too much caramel colouring in it can cause liver cancer in dogs and humans."
@@virginiaconnor8350 my niece's dogs' lumps were benign, though. With some dogs, they just happen.
But now that I've seen the whole thing, some kind of bite or infection makes more sense, bc tumors, benign or not, don't pop up that quickly
Prayers for Storm 🙏🐾
Oh dear, it's terrible having a sick or injured dog, but I'm sure that with your swift action and the excellent care she's receiving she will make a good recovery! Best wishes to you all and Stormy x
Thank you
Don’t worry about social media! You’re Storm’s protector so she needs to be your priority!
God bless you both!✝️❤️
Sending positive healing vibes to Storm! She’s an amazing girl!!🥰😘
Good luck with your IVF. Glad Storm seems on the mend. Wishing you well.
Get well soon, Storm! Healing hugs to you and your special family.
So glad she's NOT seriously ill, and it's something that can be treated! We will be praying for her!
Oh Storm. I wondered if Storm had an elevated temperature? Eating is a good sign. The lump is quite large. How old is Storm? Knowing how stoic Border Collies can be, I sense that she is uncomfortable from your description.
It is a stress to want to spend whatever it takes to save our dogs, but we have to consider our means to do that. Sean, my love to you. Do right by Storm. You have so much invested in an excellent dog. I hope that Storm is sorted out by the vet and goes on to do her good work and live a satisfied long life.
The pain from these companions is completely outweighed by the love. When my Border Collie had a twisted gut it was urgent, life-threatening and the distress was obvious. The vet went in and untwisted the gut and the dog lived a long life. BUT, keeping a BC quiet for the healing period is an extremely difficult task because of the energy level and enthusiasm of these dogs. With love...
Prayers for Storm's full recovery...She is such a sweetheart, and I know she wants to get back to work soon!
Thank you for sharing. I hope Storm will get better soon, please keep us all updated. She is such a sweetheart.
Thank you, I will
Thanks for the pupdate on Storm. I'm sure I speak for all your fans when I say that your family comes first (which includes all your pups) and there is no need to apologize about lack of videos. We'll be here when you're able to post and hopefully she'll be back to work in no time! Plus, if it is caused by a foreign body, that weeping might help move it out so no surgery for her and a faster recovery.
If you create a GoFundMe for the Vet bills, I will donate. I love your dogs
Love to you all, and prayers for you and Storm. Thank you for sharing with us.
Could it be that Storm was bitten by an insect or spider and that wound became infected? Sometimes a connective tissue capsule forms around the abscess and the antibiotic does not help. Then a surgeon has to come in 🤔🤔🤔
What a lovely video honest real unadulterated thank you. Border Collies are wonderful dogs we had one for many many years bought when we had 50 acres she lived to run and adjusted well when we moved. Waited for my husband to get home from work then died so suddenly it was devastating. But she lived to 17 so had a great life.
So glad that you were able to to discover Storm's problem and get her to the Vet. We have had 5 Border Collies and they seem less senstive to pain. It is as if they are bred to be kicked and still carry on with their duties. We have lost 2 dogs to cancer, but they were not Border Collies.
So thank you. We all love Storm and the rest of your pack.
either that or they limp around needing ALL the attention...until they think you're not looking and then they're running around like normal 😄
Thank you Sean and Stacey for sharing. Storm does not seem to be in any pain. So happy the diagnosis was not twisted stomach!!🤗
Thank you
Thanks for sharing the lows as well as the highs. I’m relieved it wasn’t something worse and hoping it will heal soon with no need for surgery. We’re all rooting for her. Our animals can sure be a worry sometimes.
Wishing a speedy recovery for Storm…you and Stacey show your care for your dogs and it’s so great to see!
No no no oh storm
Such a working dog she loves her work
Keep us in formed on her
We love her
Wishing Storm a speedy recovery. ❤
As I started to watch this video I thought oh no! Storm is sick! Thank you for taking us through the whole ordeal and including her medical status and not having us wait. I love your dogs and know how much they mean to you and Stacy. Not just as working dogs but when the end of the day arrives and they're your companions. You're doing excellent in taking action immediately and putting Storm first. Storm appears to be on the mend and I look forward to getting more updates on her condition.
Hoping for a speedy recovery Storm!
Bathing that swelling will help,Just keep it clean and anything left over will be absorbed back into the Storms system,All the very best,
Positive thoughts heading Storms way as well as for you and Stacy
She will be fine. I had one of those on my neck! Leakage is good! They should open the wound and drain it really well. Good luck Storm. You will be fine!
Best of luck. She looks happy. Enjoy the vacation Storm. Some well deserved rest.
Hoping it turns out to be something easy to take care of! 🙏
Praying for Storm. She is one in a million.
Oh Noooo poor stormy, hope he's getting workmen"s comp for being off work, please have a go fund me for these times, just keep it aside for times like this, as a nurse they could put in a drain to speed up the process!! prayers up for everyone! We all have dogs and completely understand!!! Kristine Scarpetti< Chicago!
Sending healing vibes to storm and all your animals😊
Your love for your dogs shows with every clip. And theirs for you too with every puppy kiss
Life isn’t always sunshine and roses and reality means facing the hard things in life and keeping going. I do hope it is nothing serious but do keep us informed.
Being a dog and cat owner for over 50 years I can relate to all the the worry, sorrow and joy that will happen. Bless you and your family and your dogs!
You seem to be taking good care of Storm. I hate to see a dog with issues, but that's the way it goes with dogs.
In many ways they are like children. The run, they are active, they get injured, we care for them and hope it doesn't happen again.
I look forward to seeing Storm ripping through the fields with the other dogs soon!
Please get better Storm. "To" the vets indeed. Thanks for taking care of your beautiful animals.
Thank you for letting us know about Storm. My hear sunk at the start of your video. So glad its an infection that can be healed in time. Many prayers going up for Storm for a full, complete, quick recovery!
Prayers for Storm and your family 🙏🙏🙏
get well soon Strom...love ur job n Strom..❤...
I am so glad that Storm is on her way to feeling better. I guess a working dog’s life is a bit more hazardous than the life of a house dog. I hope that she recovers soon, and that you and Stacy have success with your latest round of ivf. I hope to see a healthy Storm playing with your baby someday😊
Oh no!! Poor Storm. Best of luck ❤
Thanks for keeping us informed as we who watch care about her and all the dogs.
Oh Lordy, I was worried about Storm. I am sending good energy and prayers. I LOVE you Storm!!
Get well Storm and look after your Dad 💪
I hope Storm makes a speedy recovery. You take excellent care of your dogs and family!❤❤❤
Wishing Storm a speedy recovery.
Best wishes to her. Last year I had to take my lab to a vet for a lump on her foot, it was in an awkward place and it was touch and go how long she would take to heal - the vet was amazing and she healed very well. I hope Storm gets the attention she needs for her comfort and health. It's a worrying time but everyone is rooting for her and you. xxx
Best wishes to Storm from Russia
So glad it’s not as serious as you first feared. Your love of your dogs is evident and their devotion to you is beautiful
You are a good man! Thank you for showing us the good and the not so good. I appreciate it.
I couldn’t watch it all - didn’t make it a minute into. Triggered memories of my pup’s loss this summer. We love our dogs & I hope yours stays well. Sending the best to you.
Family you are. I love how you love Storm. I'll be praying for you and your doggos.❤
All the best to Storm,! From Yorkshire, I hope Sean and Stacey aren't too stressed out. A awesome family
Just about to watch part 2
Subtitle: Storm takes a vacation & watches Rugby ✌✌
Love your videos and the love you have for your animals. Your dogs ar special and so are you.
When you said the mass was weeping first thing i said to my wife was "oh thats good news" your right when the mass opens up it releaves presure and makes the mass much less painful.
Aww...such a worry when our dogs are poorly, working or not...I'm not surprised you're feeling stressed, and agree on your priorities not being social media right now...thank you for making time to let us know what's happening and I've got everything crossed that Storm will be fine ❤ ...take care,
Suzy
Very well said 🧡
God bless you all. God gives us so much and I am thankful for all the love and care you have for your family.
We love your dogs, praying for full recovery...
Your right, seems such a beautiful place, where everything good happens.
Of course that can’t be, but we sure see it a lot on the videos. ❤ Hope he is better soon to help you move the families of sheep and cows around, and take care of them. Thanks for the videos!
Yes for your honesty and open-ness. Life is not always merry. Full of hope.
