Someone had recommended this video for me as I'm rediscovering the bass after 20 years away, and I was laughing so hard in the first 45 seconds! Subbed just for the relationship you and your Dad seem to have. This is also a really good intro to Yousician! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you, Ellen. I signed up to Yousician already, having seen your amazing progress. I am much, much, much older than you and I've been learning bass and guitar for longer than you've been around but I was really impressed at watching your progress. When I heard you were using Yousician, I decided to try it, for bass, guitar and singing. I have to say, so far it is really excellent. BUT, I've also discovered the big difference between you and me. It's just SHOWING UP! I can see that you show up and make a little progress every day. If I'm too busy or too tired and miss a few days, I miss out on the progress.
Thank you too for this lesson in using Yousician. I wasn't aware of all the filters and features. You and your Dad are helping so many learner musicians right now!

I am 50 and started learning the bass about a month ago. I found the Yousician app when I first started and it's great. The fact that you guys also use it makes me even more confident about how good the app is.
Ellen, you and your dad are making bass playing look like the coolest thing on the planet. Of course, your talents are amazing and the love and time you put in shows. I am much older, play drums, but think it would be great to play bass to songs for fun and relaxation or jamming with friends. God bless you both on your beautiful journey. You are an inspiration.

This is amazingly helpful. I get frustrated with softwares. This will make it much easier for me and others.
Hi Ellen, you promoted Yousician very well. I myself been using Yousician for many years now and am still enjoying it. I don’t have the time nowadays to play regularly with a band. Yousician allows me to play along with great bands and it costs me no extra time. I also like the fact that you get to know a LOT more musicians (yousicians) with whom you can compete in a way. You can get to know them a little bit better on the socials and that’s fun too. All in all Yousician is a great app to start learning Bass, Guitar, Piano, Ukelele and even singing. For the more advanced musicians there still are enough challenges to make it worthwhile. I know Ikm still enjoying playing along with it after many years.
I like the analogy when she says the higher the level is well you know.and that's highly recommend for me.. what a personality.. she will be composing tomorrow. Something tells me she already has. Thanks teach.

Your dad talks so much
I appreciate your child's talent, but you know there was a time when we as musicians worked really hard to learn songs, playing by ear, picking up Guitar Tabs mags in the store... now kids have it all too easy, pop open your Pc and you can become a maestro in months. Computers, technology and the sorts have ruined our lives inconsiderably, have made it to where anyone with an ounce of talent is 15 minutes famous and we as a society soak it up and think it is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Music in this day and age is a waste of time, just as you I am a musician, my kids also, but in all realism for the average person, don't waste your time on silly dreams, all the dreams are gone in this world. Only thing left are nightmares.
Sorry she's very cute and very sweet but not very informative well does not explain very well what a beginner would need to know. but nice video just the same.
